In a bold confrontation captured on video, Representative Tim Burchett (R-TN) humorously engaged with liberal protestors on Capitol Hill. The exchange, which included some coarse language, showcased the Tennessee congressman’s straightforward approach in addressing the demonstrators.
The video opened with a protestor challenging Rep. Burchett with a politically loaded question about violence at the Gaza border. “What do you say to that?” the protestor asked. Rep. Burchett, unfazed, immediately retorted, “I don’t like it when they [Hamas] cross the border there at Gaza and killed all those innocent Israelis.”
As the discussion heated up, another protestor rhetorically asked, “Is it justifiable?” This lead to Burchett interjecting with a heated question, “Is it justifiable raping women?”
The encounter escalated as emotions ran high, leading to more explicit exchanges. One protestor exclaimed, “F*ck you!” followed by another shouting, “You’re an *sshole!” Despite the abrasive language, Rep. Burchett remained composed, reflecting on the interaction with a hint of sarcasm, “Another pleasant day here in Washington.”
WATCH:
As the video concluded, Rep. Burchett remarked, “First Amendment is alive and well!”
In February, Rep. Burchett endorsed The Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act. “It’s a clean bill that would’ve provided one of our most important allies with what they need to finish the fight that Hamas started,” Burchett said. “I can’t hold up aid to Israel in good conscience.”

Both the murderers on October 7 and the response of the murder of tens of thousands can be unjustified.
