2024’s Most Accurate Pollster Completely Crushes Democrats’ Trump Narratives
A nationally recognized pollster among the most accurate in the business has added another layer of cement to President Donald Trump’s foundation of support among voters, betraying Democrats’ narrative that Americans are being turned off by his deportation and cost-cutting agenda.
By healthy margins, recent poll respondents gave high marks to President Trump and his key priorities while expressing approval of the drastic changes taking place since the Biden-Harris administration. Quantus Insights, ranked the most accurate pollster of the 2024 cycle, surveyed 1,000 registered voters in late February to conclude that the Republican’s well of support isn’t drying up.
From DOGE to deportations, Trump’s overall job performance is approved of by 51% while 45% disapprove. Reducing illegal immigration, which was central to President Trump’s promises in the 2024 campaign, continues to bolster the highest marks: 58% approve of efforts by White House border czar Tom Homan, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement to arrest and deport illegal immigrants tied to violent gangs or convicted of crimes.
The issue has drawn bipartisan support, as seen in last month’s passage of the Laken Riley Act, which lowered the threshold for criminal charges before an illegal immigrant could be detained and deported. In the U.S. House, 46 Democrats voted for the new law while 12 did so in the U.S. Senate.
On the economy, President Trump remains on the right side of most voters, 49% of whom say he is steering the country toward a better financial future. The new U.S. Department of Government Efficiency and Elon Musk, a close advisor, have been garnering headlines on a near-daily basis as they trim waste and bloat from the federal budget.
Trump has parlayed their success into other newsworthy mentions of his own, such as when he floated the possibility of “DOGE dividend” checks to Americans and auditing the country’s 9 million pound bullion depository at Fort Knox.
And compared to his predecessor, the president is leaving voters happy with their decision to side with him last November. Fifty percent believe the country is headed in a better direction than under the Biden-Harris administration.
If President Trump were to face former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2028, last year’s results would look much the same: 52% of poll respondents still prefer him compared to 46% for Harris.
The results by Quantus verify those of pollsters including Harvard University who earlier this year showed overwhelming support for President Trump. Among black men, the Republican’s support has more than doubled since the election, a poll by Cygnal showed.
Conversely, Americans’ approval of the Democratic Party has fallen to an all-time low of 36%, leaving prospective 2028 challengers to pick up the pieces. Among them is Gavin Newsom, the progressive governor of California who recently announced he will be launching his own podcast focused on hosting candid conversations with MAGA guests.
Harris, meanwhile, hasn’t ruled out a second run for the White House. Since leaving her last job, the Democrat has said she is angling to release a memoir while considering whether to instead run for the California governorship where Newsom is term-limited. She continues to rank at the top of the 2028 list among Democrats asked whom they would like to see take on Trump’s successor.
