WATCH: Trump Calls CNN Host ‘A Nasty Person’ Right To Her Face

Former President Donald Trump called CNN Town Hall moderator Kaitlan Collins a “very nasty person” after she repeatedly interrupted him throughout the course of the evening.

Collins — who frequently sparred with Trump while he was in office as CNN’s White House correspondent — was asking Trump about the federal investigation into his handling of classified documents. Trump responded by pointing to similar cases involving President Biden, who was found to be in possession of classified documents at multiple low-security locations.

“But Joe Biden didn’t ignore a subpoena to get those documents back like you did,” Collins interjected. “Joe Biden took 150 boxes!” Trump immediately fired back. “So that’s the question that investigators have I think is why you held on to those documents when you knew the federal government was seeking them and then had given you a subpoena to return them,” the CNN host then shot back.

“Are you ready? Are you ready, can I talk? Do you mind?” an annoyed Trump responded. “I would like for you to answer the question, that’s why I asked it,” Collins stated.

“Its very simple to answer… you know you are a nasty person, I’ll tell ya!” Trump then exclaimed, drawing applause and laughs from the crowd.

Social media users pointed out that Collins routinely interrupted Trump and claimed that she presented her questions in an adversarial manner. “In a serious country Kaitlin Collins would be serving cocktails at a second rate casino. Well, in some metaphorical sense that’s what she is doing at CNN,” said Revolver News founder Darren Beattie.

“CNN having Kaitlin Collins “moderate” that Townhall was almost as bad a decision as FOX’s firing Tucker,” conservative commentator and former Trump White House aide Sebastian Gorka chimed in.
