‘Washington Post’ Rebukes Democrat Senator For Attempting To ‘Steal’ His Seat

Several mainstream media outlets are criticizing Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) over his efforts to steal the election from Republican challenger Dave McCormick, who has been declared the winner by a number of outlets, including the Associated Press and Decision Desk HQ. McCormick has also been attending Senate orientation events and has an office on Capitol Hill, but Casey has still refused to concede and is attempting to count invalid ballots with the help of left-wing election lawyers, including the infamous Marc Elias.

Casey has called for the counting of provisional ballots, including those with invalid dates or incorrect voter information. The race is currently in the midst of a recount, which is required under Pennsylvania election law if any given race is decided by less than half of a percentage point.

In Bucks County — a crucial swing county that Republicans appeared to have secured — Democrat election commissioners have openly defied the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s ruling on undated and incorrect mail-in ballots. The court ruled that they cannot be counted in a high-profile pre-election case, though Bucks County Commissioner Diane Marseglia has openly stated that the county intends to defy the court.

“I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country,” Marseglia said when voting to defy the state’s highest court on Thursday.

“People violate laws anytime they want,” she continued. “So, for me, if I violate this law it’s because I want a court to pay attention. There’s nothing more important than counting votes.”

The Republican National Committee has filed a number of lawsuits aimed at stopping the flagrant violation of election law, but Bucks County is already on the verge of flipping blue as ballots continue to be counted nearly two weeks after Election Day.

Casey’s attempt to overturn the election has drawn criticism from a number of left-wing pundits and lawmakers, many of whom have spent the last four years labeling President-elect Trump and his supporters as “election deniers” for objecting to the presidential election results in 2020. An opinion piece from the Washington Post accused Casey and his allies of blatantly thumbing their noses at the state’s election laws, while CNN investigative reporter Andy Kaczynski noted that Bucks County Democrats are openly breaking the law.

HBO’s Bill Maher attempted to defend Casey during Friday’s episode of Real Time. “You know that if Trump had lost this election, right now, we would be talking about the votes that are still coming in in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and he’d be in the courts and we would just be all in a tigger,” he said before claiming that “one side accepts election losses and one side doesn’t.”

Panelist Casey Means then pointed to Casey’s effort to overturn the election, along with the promise from Bucks County commissioners to accept invalid ballots.

“No, that’s not actually true. They’re just counting them,” Maher then falsely claimed, drawing applause from his audience.

“And if you dismiss that, and you don’t recognize the moat in your own eye, then that is a problem,” Means follows up.
