WATCH: CNN’s Scott Jennings Brings Out The Receipts, Stuns Liberal Panelists

on

Scott Jennings, a conservative commentator and regular on CNN panels, stirred up a lively debate during a recent segment, claiming that X (formerly Twitter) has become the “most ideologically balanced platform” for news. Jennings’ remarks, backed by polling data, left his liberal co-panelists visibly angry as they attempted to counter his claims.

The exchange began with Jennings stating that the social media platform, under the leadership of Elon Musk, now mirrors the ideological makeup of the broader American electorate. “I saw a survey this week. It’s now the most ideologically balanced user platform,” Jennings said, triggering groans and objections from others on the panel.

“Come on, Scott, stop. It’s too early. I just sat down,” one panelist said, while another challenged Jennings to provide his source. “We’ve reported it on this network,” Jennings clapped back.

Afterwards on X, Jennings provided receipts, writing, “When I said on CNN last night that X is the most ideologically balanced platform, folks weren’t happy. Survey says…” Jennings pointed to CNN’s own reporting, citing a segment by Harry Enten.

The CNN data shows a dramatic shift: in 2022, 65% of X users who regularly consumed news leaned Democratic, compared to just 31% Republican. Today, the platform’s user base is split almost evenly, with Democrats at 48% and Republicans at 47%.

“This new overall makeup matches the electorate far better,” Enten said at the time.
