‘Squad’ Democrat Under Fire For Blatantly Racist Post
Representative Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), a member of the progressive “Squad,” is facing fierce backlash after posting racially charged comments on X (formerly Twitter) about race, white supremacy, and the justice system. His remarks, which came after the acquittal of Marine veteran Daniel Penny in the death of Jordan Neely.
Bowman’s social media posts claimed white individuals do not experience similar trauma to Black Americans, while accusing the justice system of failing to deliver accountability.
“Dear White People, I don’t know why I feel the need to keep talking to you,” Bowman started. “I don’t know why part of me still has hope for you and for us. Some of you are too far gone. But maybe enough of you aren’t and will join us in fighting to end white supremacy.”
Dear White People,
I don’t know why I feel the need to keep talking to you. I don’t know why part of me still has hope for you and for us. Some of you are too far gone. But maybe enough of you aren’t and will join us in fighting to end white supremacy.

“I just wanna call out the hypocrisy and evil of it all and just continue to hope. I won’t rely completely on you because I know what’s most important is to work with my community and other like minded allies in the fight for justice,” he continued.
Jordan Neely is the latest. He was sick. He was not a threat. He was subdued. Still not a threat. Daniel Penny choked him for 6 minutes. And killed him. We all watched it on camera, and he was still acquitted.

“How many times have you seen a white man killed in cold blood on camera on your newsfeed? How many times have you even heard about this? The answer is never,” Bowman wrote. He continued, “And whenever you feel discomfort from your whiteness, Black people are harmed or killed. And there is never accountability or justice.”
Bowman was community noted on X for sharing false information. “As part of a plea agreement, after punching a 67-year-old woman in 2021, Jordan Neely was given free access to stable housing and healthcare at a treatment facility. Neely abandoned the facility after 13 days,” the note read. “Penny’s actions were in response to Neely threatening passengers.”

The congressman referenced Jordan Neely, saying, “RIP Jordan Neely. The justice system failed you. Kyle Rittenhouse and Daniel Penny are free. You’re gone. We must still fight.”
Jordan Neely, 30, had a history of mental health struggles and a lengthy criminal record, including 42 arrests from 2013 to 2021. Witnesses reported that Neely was yelling and pacing aggressively on a Manhattan F train last year when he was restrained by at least three individuals, including Marine veteran Daniel Penny.
The altercation, caught on video, ended with Penny applying a chokehold that led to Neely’s death. Penny, 26, was charged with criminally negligent homicide, a case that drew national attention, igniting debates over mental health, public safety, and vigilantism in New York City’s crime-riddled subway system. On Monday a Manhattan jury acquitted Penny after a four-week trial, clearing him of all charges.
Collin Rugg challenged Bowman’s framing of Neely, writing, “Jordan Neely was a drugged-out lunatic who threatened to kill people unless he was given soda. Yet, here you are acting like he was an innocent little child.”

Clown.

Others questioned Bowman’s claims about racial disparities in media coverage and justice.
Jamaal, let’s address the hypocrisy you and others like you perpetuate. You rant about “white supremacy” while sitting in a position of power—a position you wouldn’t have if such a system truly existed the way you claim. Let’s be real: if white supremacy was as pervasive as you…
