NEW: Conservative Comedian Plans New Talk Show To Directly Compete With ‘The View’
“Saturday Night Live” and comedy film veteran Rob Schneider, who has always been outspoken about his conservative views, is launching a new women’s talk show that will be a direct competitor to ABC’s “The View.”
Schneider announced the new project while promoting his new book, “You Can Do It,” during a recent appearance on Fox News. “It’s a book about free speech. You wouldn’t think you’d need to have a book about free speech in America, and then you’d realize you did,” he said before teasing a “big announcement.”

“Well, No Apologies, my new media company, we’re going to do an all ladies talk show that won’t be like “The View,” Schneider then announced. When asked whether the show will follow the same format as the left-wing ABC program, he left the door open to a number of possibilities.
“It could be, but we’re just going to do a show that, it’ll be the opposite, because this will be entertaining. It’ll be funny, we’ll have funny women on it that are going to tell jokes and have funny stories,” he said, adding that health and wellness will be a major focus as well. Schneider went on to describe the new show as a direct competitor for “The View,” though it may not be debuting in the same time slot.
“We’re not going to announce who’s doing the show yet, but that’s what’s happening now, and it’s official to get moving ahead,” Schneider continued, adding that production is scheduled to begin next month.
The SNL veteran did not reveal any potential hosts, stating only that his media company is in talks with several “household names.”
“We’re going to have an entertaining show with people for all, for entertaining people all over America. We’re not trying to just bring people who are angry and bitter and reinforce in their political echo chamber,” Schneider went on to say.
