‘Proud Feminist’ Justin Trudeau Lectures Americans For Refusing To Elect Kamala Harris

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau suggested that women’s rights were “under attack” in the United States while commenting on President-elect Donald Trump’s decisive win over Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trudeau made the comments while speaking at the Equal Voice Foundation, an organization that works to advance “gender equity” in Canadian politics. Describing himself as a “proud feminist,” Trudeau expressed disappointment in his neighbors for voting against Harris.

“It wasn’t supposed to be that way. We were supposed to be on a steady, if difficult sometimes, march towards progress. And yet, just a few weeks ago, the United States voted for a second time to not elect its first woman president,” the prime minister said. “Everywhere, women’s rights and women’s progress is under attack, overtly and subtly. But I want you to know that I am and always will be a proud feminist. You will always have an ally in me and in my government.”

Trudeau’s comments were widely met with ridicule on X. “He’s such an insufferable tool,” platform owner Elon Musk said in response. “Won’t be in power for much longer.”

The statement comes just over two weeks after Trudeau scrambled to Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate for a last-minute meeting after the president-elect threatened to impose steep tariffs on Canadian products if Trudeau’s government does not work to stem the flow of illegal aliens and drugs flowing across U.S.-Canada border. While the U.S. southern border with Mexico receives the majority of media coverage and political action concerning illegal immigration, record numbers of illegal aliens have been entering the country from Canada since President Biden took office in 2021.

Data gathered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) found that record numbers of illegal aliens entered the United States from the northern border between 2023 and 2024, which reached a monthly peak in May.

Trump has continuously poked fun at Canada’s left-wing prime minister in the days and weeks following the meeting, suggesting that he will soon lead an effort to annex Canada. “It was a pleasure to have dinner the other night with Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada. I look forward to seeing the Governor again soon so that we may continue our in depth talks on Tariffs and Trade, the results of which will be truly spectacular for all!” the incoming president wrote in a Truth Social post earlier this week.
