BREAKING: Nancy Pelosi Rushed To Hospital Due To ‘Injury’

The office of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced on Friday that she had been rushed to a hospital in Luxembourg while “suffering an injury” during an official engagement honoring the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.

“Speaker Emerita Pelosi is currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals. She continues to work and regrets that she is unable to attend the remainder of the CODEL engagements to honor the courage of our servicemembers during one of the greatest acts of American heroism in our nation’s history. Speaker Emerita Pelosi conveys her thanks and praise to our veterans and gratitude to people of Luxembourg and Bastogne for their service in World War Il and their role in bringing peace to Europe,” said spokesman Ian Kraig. “Speaker Emerita Pelosi was personally and officially honored to travel with the distinguished delegation, many of whom had family members who fought in World War II – including her uncle, Johnny. She looks forward to returning home to the U.S. soon.”

The overseas junket, which began Thursday, includes a bipartisan congressional delegation that is expected to take part in observances of the anniversary along with veterans and their families, active duty service members, government and military officials, and foreign dignitaries. “As we mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, it is a great privilege to join a distinguished bipartisan delegation to Belgium and Luxembourg to honor one of the greatest acts of American heroism in our nation’s history,” Pelosi said in announcing the trip. “We commemorate the courage of our servicemembers who braved weeks of bitter winter to secure the victory of freedom over tyranny, not only for Europe, but for all the world.”

Pelosi was last in Belgium and Luxembourg in 2019 to commemorate the battle’s 75th anniversary, the bloodiest on the Western Front of WWII, which saw the most American casualties suffered during a surprise counteroffensive by more than 400,000 German troops. The day was won by the Allies and hastened the downfall of Adolf Hitler. In addition to Pelosi’s 2019 delegation, President-elect Donald Trump sent his own delegation, led by former Defense Secretary Mark T. Esper, along for the ceremony.
