JUST IN: Trump Takes Hilarious Shot At Chris Christie Amidst NJ Drone Saga

Published

Hours after weighing in on the mysterious drone sightings across New Jersey and surrounding states, President-elect Donald Trump posted a hilarious meme mocking former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Large segments of the Northeast corridor from Connecticut to southeastern Pennsylvania have reported drone sightings in recent weeks. The “SUV-sized” drones have been primarily spotted in New Jersey beginning on November 18, when the FAA issued temporary flight restrictions after unidentified drones were spotted near sensitive military sites.

One of the flight restrictions applies to the area surrounding the president-elect’s Bedminster golf club.

On Saturday, Trump decided to mock former ally turned fierce critic Chris Christie, who served as governor of the traditionally blue state from 2010 through 2018. A meme posted to all of the president-elect’s social media accounts, including Truth Social and X, shows the governor digging into some McDonald’s food delivered by a drone. A swarm of drones can be seen bringing a conveyor belt of food to the two-time failed presidential candidate, who has long faced mockery due to his weight.

The hilarious post comes a little under 24 hours after the president-elect weighed in on the drone controversy in a much more serious statement.

“Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country. Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge. I don’t think so!” Trump wrote in a TruthSocial post on Friday evening.

“Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!!!”

Both the Biden Administration and New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy have told the public that the mystery drones pose no known security risk. “We haven’t seen anything unusual. We know of no threat. Secondly, we have gone to Congress repeatedly asking for more authority to counter drone activity and we have also asked for more authority to give to the state and local officials under our supervision because it correctly notes those authorities need to be expanded,” said Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

A growing number of residents and lawmakers are demanding more answers from federal authorities. New Jersey Assemblyman Brian Bergen walked out of a meeting with federal, state and local officials after finding their lack of answers on the drones to be unsatisfying.

“I walked out because it was it was worthless,” Bergen told NewsNation. “It was the biggest amateur hour presentation I’ve ever seen about anything. It was ridiculous. There were no answers. Every question that was asked by a member of the state legislature — great questions, no answers, no resolution. They don’t know where the drones are coming from.”
