JUST IN: New Details Of Hulk Hogan’s Final Days Surface: ‘Riddled With Health Bouts’

Legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan spent his final days and weeks battling debilitating bouts of heartache, friends and family members revealed one day after his death.

Hogan, 71, suffered a deathbed “heartbreak” that may have contributed to his passing from cardiac arrest at his Florida home on Thursday. The symbol of machismo and American strength left his mark on worlds spanning Hollywood to Washington, D.C., but he almost wasn’t able to break an eight-year streak of silence from his daughter, Brooke, 36.

It’s unclear what precipitated their estrangement, but Hogan allegedly believed up until his dying day that the two would make amends, according to those who were close by his side before his death.

“The last few months of Hogan’s life had a lot more ups than downs,” an insider said.

“There was a little strain with his daughter and their relationship that had taken quite the emotional toll, but he always thought he would eventually be able to rectify that.”

Despite carrying a muscle-bound frame for most of his life that conveyed strength and resilience, Hogan, on the inside, was suffering from heart complications that were taking a toll on him. Still, his death came as a shock to family members like his son, who remained close with Hogan.

“He was still extremely close to his son,” the source added. “It is a surprise and doesn’t feel real at all to his family and friends.”

Decades of wrestling and promotion had left the former professional fighter with “the body of a 140-year-old man,” they told the Daily Mail back in April.

But for all his health ailments, including a major neck surgery just last month, his final days will be remembered as “heartbroken” over the lack of reconciliation with his daughter.

Brooke has never confirmed what led to the split with her father, though her mother, Linda, said her daughter claimed she was “verbally and mentally abused since childhood.”

Hogan’s ex-wife insisted that fault was “not pointed at either person,” and TMZ reported that Brooke eventually made a call to her father in which she told him she loved him in a final conversation before his death.

Hockey player Steven Oleksy, Brooke’s husband, allegedly made several attempts to “foster peace” over the years, but to no avail.

Linda has accused Hogan of being a “liar” and “sex addict” during their tumultuous marriage.

A heartbreaking video by Linda, posted last March, marked “15 years since I left Hulk” and lamented the loss of communication with her daughter.

“She’s had twins, she got married, she didn’t tell us,” she said in the disturbing clip.

“She had a huge fight with Terry. I don’t know how that reflected onto me. But she cut me out, too. I haven’t talked to her for seven years – almost eight years now.”

Linda body-slammed her ex-husband for his third marriage to Sky Daily two years ago.

“I’ve given him more opportunities to come back and make us a family,” she cried, the Daily Mail reported.

“I’ve never put a Facebook [post] out like this with my ugly face and my crying face, but I have to be honest about what I went through in my marriage with Terry.

“It’s been 20 years and I’m still this sad. Somebody please explain that. I don’t know. It just doesn’t get better.”
