JUST IN: Jasmine Crockett Panics After Her ‘Monster Ego’ Is Exposed By New Bombshell

Declining fortunes of the Democratic Party came home to roost for “Squad” Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) who this month revoked a reporter’s “exclusive” access to the inner workings of her office after the scribe followed basic journalism protocols and asked for opinions from her colleagues.

Crockett, 44, is so obsessed with her image that she banished Atlantic reporter Elaine Godfrey from ever reentering her office after the outlet published an in-depth profile of her. From scolding staff to having a picture of herself on her phone screen, Crockett conveys a “monster ego” that’s both dastardly and unprofessional, fellow Democrats confided.

The final straw came when Crockett called Godfrey to complain that she had reached out to dozens of fellow Democratic House members to ask for their thoughts on her.

“Four days before this story was published, Crockett called me to express frustration that I had reached out to so many House members without telling her first,” Godfrey writes.

“[Crockett] was, she told me, ‘shutting down the profile and revoking all permissions.”

Godfrey detailed how 33 members of Congress or top staffers declined to go on the record about Crockett, who they said relishes the spotlight and does little to show Democrats are serious about serving as a check on total GOP power in Washington, D.C.

“Staffers for some of those colleagues told me that some of them see Crockett as undisciplined—but are reluctant to criticize her publicly,” the reporter explained.

Other Capitol Hill journalists came to Godfrey’s defense, writing on social media about similar experiences they’ve had dealing with Crockett.

“That is not how any of this works,” said NBC News reporter Sahil Kapur.

Joe Perticone with the Bulwark chimed in, “Free advice to profile subjects: do not ever do this.”

Before terminating Godfrey’s access, Crockett reportedly bragged about her unrepentant willingness to “go low” when facing off against MAGA members of Congress, such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). The two have sparred in public hearings, often in deeply personal terms.

“I don’t second-guess shit,” Crockett told the Atlantic journalist when asked if she ever regretted some of her controversial comments, including her reference to home-state Gov. Greg Abbott as “Governor Hot Wheels.”

Following bipartisan blowback, Crockett covered by saying she was referring to Abbott’s history of busing and flying migrants to other parts of the country.

Godfrey also described witnessing Crockett belittle her staff in a “brusque manner” about the tiniest inconsistencies, ranging from her schedule to her daily lunch and dinner reservations.

One assistant was rebuked for allegedly bringing Crockett a lunch that “looked like crap,” according to the article.

Part of serving in the “Squad” means Crockett is also “highly conscious of her self-presentation.”

“During many of our conversations, Crockett wore acrylic nails painted with the word RESIST, and a set of heavy lashes over her brown eyes,” Godfrey wrote, before adding that “The lock screen on her phone is a headshot of herself.”

Crockett, who was first elected in 2020, rose to prominence after a video of her ripping Greene for her “bleach blond bad built butch body” went viral. She parlayed the minor fame into a hustle of big-dollar fundraising, and she has used her clout to issue endorsements among the newest cohort of progressives vying for seats in Congress.

On multiple occasions, Crockett confided to Godfrey that she hadn’t forgiven Democratic colleagues for failing to elect her to a top spot on the House Oversight Committee last year.

“It’s like, there’s one clear person in the race that has the largest social-media following,” she said.

If she doesn’t make inroads with party leadership soon, Crockett suggested she may run for Senate against John Cornyn (R-TX) in next year’s election.

“My philosophy is: Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready,” she warned, the Daily Mail reported.
