JUST IN: Dem Politician Caught Cheering On Savage Beatdown In Cincinnati: ‘They Begged For That’
A Democratic politician in Cincinnati, Ohio, is getting her 15 minutes of infamy after cheering on a violent crowd that left two people bleeding and unconscious following a late-night street beatdown over the weekend.
Two men and a woman have been charged stemming from the attack, which occurred in the early morning hours of July 26, drawing national attention and carrying racial overtones as commentators continue to weigh in about whether anti-white or anti-black remarks played a role in the feud.
Montianez Merriweather, 34; Dekyra Vernon, 24; and Jermaine Matthews, 39, were arrested within a day and charged with felonious assault and aggravated riot. Police say they have identified two additional suspects who participated in attacking the victims, but said they remain at large as of Wednesday afternoon.
Conservative commentators initially condemned the mainstream media for failing to cover the story, leading to liberal pushback by voices including Victoria Parks, a city councilor in Cincinnati, where the fight took place. However, her reaction hasn’t garnered the attention she may have hoped for.
“They begged for that beat down!” she recently wrote on Facebook while commenting on another post, adding she is “grateful for the whole story” being told.
City records indicate that Parks currently serves as the president pro tem.

Parks appeared to be referring to calls by some of the left to withhold judgment after the assailants, who are black, attacked the white victims. At a press conference, Cincinnati police Detective Barney Blank said Merriweather could be seen on video walking up to Matthews and whispering something before the altercation broke out.
Both suspects then chased the victim as he retreated before pulling him to the ground, where they punched and kicked him.
“We believe that he coordinated this with Mr. Matthews,” Blank said.

Viral video of the fight shows two men squaring off as a crowd encircled them. Several attempts by observers were made to step between them and calm the feud. One man slapped the other, leading to a melee of bodies and fists as others jumped into the fray.
From a second angle, a woman can be seen approaching one of the men in the fight. Another woman rushes her, punching her as she falls unconscious on the ground, the Enquirer reported.
Parks, a U.S. Air Force veteran, declared in January that she would not seek reelection this year, saying she preferred to spend her retirement with her children and grandkids, WCPO reported.
“Thank you for the honor of serving this community,” she said. “It is the greatest privilege of my life… thank you.”
