NEW: Vance ‘Expects’ Several Arrests In Russian Collusion Probe
Vice President JD Vance hinted that the Trump Administration’s rapidly intensifying investigations into the origins of the Russian collusion hoax will result in “a-lot” of people facing indictments.
Vance pointed to recent disclosures from National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, who unclassified a series of documents relating to how the hoax was crafted by senior Obama officials. One document revealed that former President Barack Obama, as well as his intelligence chiefs, were told that Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election was insignificant and had no material effect on the outcome of the election.
Despite this, senior intelligence chiefs signed off on a report saying the exact opposite, leading to the special counsel investigation headed by former FBI Director Robert Mueller, which significantly hampered President Donald Trump’s first term in office despite ultimately finding zero evidence of collusion between the Trump Campaign and the Russian government.
Without getting into specific names, Vice President Vance told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo that “a-lot of people” will likely be indicted in connection with the scheme.
“I absolutely want to see indictments,” Vance told Fox News. “Of course, you’ve got to have the law follow the facts here.”
“You don’t just indict people to indict people. You indict people because they broke the law,” the vice president went on to say. “If you look at what Tulsi and Kash Patel have revealed in the last couple of weeks, I don’t know how anybody can look at that and say there was an aggressive violation of the law.”
Vance further added that based on the evidence he has seen, much of which is publicly available, he is of the opinion that senior Obama officials broke the law. “I absolutely think they broke the law. And you’re going to see a lot of people get indicted for that,” he said.
National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, who signed off on the memo confirming that senior intelligence officials told their superiors that Russia did not affect the 2016 election, therefore making the investigation baseless, has described the conduct of former President Obama and his underlings as a “coup attempt.”
“This is not a Democrat or Republican issue. This is an issue that is so serious it should concern every single American because it has to do with the integrity of our democratic republic. What we saw occur here as the documents we released detailed was that we had a sitting President of the United States and his cabinet and leadership team, quite frankly, who were not happy with the fact that President Trump had won the election, that the American people had chosen Donald J. Trump to be the next President, Commander-in-Chief of the United States,” Gabbard said during a recent interview with Fox News.
“So the effect of what President Obama and his senior national security team did was subvert the will of the American people, undermining our democratic republic, and enacting what would be essentially a years-long coup against President Trump, who was duly elected by the American people.”
On Thursday, the Justice Department established a “strike force” to investigate whether enough evidence exists to charge former President Barack Obama over his alleged role in the scheme. Together, prosecutors and U.S. intelligence investigators will work to identify “the worst offenders” who “engaged in fraudulent activities, including, chiefly, health care fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, money laundering offenses, false statements offenses,” and more, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced in a press release.
The FBI has also launched a separate investigation into Comey and Brennan. While details of the investigation remain scarce, insiders told Fox News that it largely centers on false statements to Congress in reference to the Russian collusion hoax, as well as the possibility of a wider “conspiracy.”
