WATCH: ICE Agent Humiliates Overweight Heckler: ‘Eat A Salad’

A video recently posted on social media has been spreading like wildfire, prompting discussions about whether or not an agent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement may have stepped over the line during an encounter with a heckler in Washington, DC.

The footage captured the moment when an ICE agent got into verbal fisticuffs with a demonstrator and remarked on the individual’s portly physical appearance. The agent suggested that the protester could choose to “eat a salad” after being heckled about his choice to become a law enforcement agent.

According to many conservatives on social media, the exchange highlights the challenges that law enforcement has to face while maintaining law and order amid those who are emotionally riled up. They also stated that it highlights how intense the debate on immigration has become in our country in recent years.

In the video, the protester taunts the agent, prompting him to respond with comments about the individual’s weight and lack of discipline. As one might imagine, liberals have been blowing steam out of their ears over the comment, calling it unprofessional.

Conservatives, however, refer to the video as evidence of the intense pressure the agents are now forced to deal with in the midst of aggressive crowds. Reports from local television news in Los Angeles have been documenting an increasingly hostile and volatile attitude toward immigration authorities.

Things have gotten so tense that the National Guard has been put on standby in case things get out of hand.

Critics of President Donald Trump and his administration’s strategy concerning the removal of illegal immigrants from the country are characterizing the operation as villainous, while also providing criminal illegals with a seeming free pass, despite a blatant ignorance to immigration laws.

Conservatives, however, believe that ICE is a bulwark against unchecked illegal immigration. We can see the results that ensue from such a policy by a quick glance back at former President Joe Biden’s administration. Many on the right believe that Biden purposefully neglected to address the illegal immigration crisis as part of a plan to stack the Democratic Party for future elections.

Regardless, the video showcases how dangerous these operations can be for ICE agents.
