REPORT: White House To Meet With UK Woman Who Was Imprisoned Over A Tweet
Lucy Connolly, a British housewife who was sentenced to more than two years in prison for a social media post after an African migrant fatally stabbed multiple children last summer, is reportedly in talks to meet with the Trump Administration.
Connolly was sentenced to 31 months in prison for a social media post made at the height of the Southport riots, which erupted after Axel Rudakubana, a first-generation immigrant by way of Rwanda, stabbed multiple young girls at the Hart Space dance studio in Southport, Merseyside.
Three girls—Bebe King (6), Elsie Dot Stancombe (7), and Alice da Silva Aguiar (9)—were killed in the attack. Eight other children and two adults were also injured, with five children and one adult sustaining serious injuries.
Outrage over the attack led to nationwide civil unrest and rioting, which was met with a harsh response by the nation’s left-wing government. Connolly was one of several dozen U.K. citizens sentenced to prison for social media posts after posting, “Mass deportation now, set fire to all the f****** hotels full of the bastards for all I care… if that makes me racist so be it.”
The post was made in reference to “migrant” hotels in the U.K., where illegal aliens are provided with all basic necessities on taxpayer dime. In one recent incident, an Ethiopian asylum seeker staying at one of the hotels in Epping was charged with raping a young girl, leading to furious protests from locals.
Connolly quickly deleted her post and apologized, but she was soon arrested and charged with “inciting racial hatred.” She ultimately pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 31 months in prison.
Connolly was released on August 21 after serving roughly nine months.

The 42-year-old’s case has largely become the face of what has been described as a “two-tier” justice system in the U.K., where native Brits are subjected to intense prosecutions for speech, protesting and more. Just days before Connolly was released, a left-wing politician was found not guilty after he referred to anti-immigration protesters as “disgusting Nazi fascists” and stated, “We need to cut all their throats and get rid of them all,” while drawing his finger across his throat.
The Trump Administration has applied pressure on U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s government for speech policing and concern over politically motivated prosecutions. While speaking with the Daily Telegraph, Connolly stated that she will soon be meeting with a “senior representative” of the Trump Administration in order to discuss the case in the coming days.
She further told the outlet that she is now taking legal advice on suing the police for having misrepresented her before trial, and even prejudicing her trial by putting out what she claims are untrue statements.
“I definitely think that is something I will be looking into, I don’t want to say too much because I want to seek legal advice on that, but I think the police were dishonest on what they released and what they said about me, and I’ll be holding them to account for that,” she said.
