Kate Middleton Stuns Fans With Sudden Change In Her Appearance
The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, revealed a new hair color during a recent trip that has sparked conversation among fans of the royal family. Middelton was photographed rocking the blondest hair she’s ever had while on a drive to and from church at Crathie Kirk, located near Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, with her family.
Princess Kate wore her hair down in a pile of loose waves that showed off her now golden brown color, while also sporting a hat. The new style marks a significant departure from Kate’s most recent appearances, where she had darker hair in July.

On July 12 and 13, the Princess of Wales attended the last two days of the Wimbledon Championships, where her hair was the usual brown color. PEOPLE pointed out that, like many women, Kate has experimented with different shades and colors over the years, mostly subtle adjustments.
“The royal previously sported similar sun-kissed tresses in 2019 and briefly switched it up with curtain bangs in 2023, but she has never deviated far from her go-to bouncy blowout. The Princess of Wales softly smiled as Prince William, 43, drove their family to church near Balmoral Castle. The Prince of Wales was at the wheel with his wife in the passenger seat, while their kids, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, traveled in the back,” the report said.
The congregation of Crathie Kirk is the go-to Church of the royals whenever they spend time at Balmoral Castle. This location has been a summer gathering place for them since the reign of Queen Victoria.

In March 2024, Princess Kate announced that she had been diagnosed with an unspecified type of cancer, after having a successful abdominal surgery earlier that year. She then went through preventative chemotherapy, which was completed later that fall. By January 2025, it was announced that her cancer was in remission.
Princess Kate has spoken on numerous occasions about how much of a “roller coaster” life was after completing her cancer treatment; however, she has placed her full attention on fulfilling her obligations and serving the general public.
During comments delivered about her current path toward full recovery, Kate mentioned how critical quiet, calm environments were to dealing successfully with the treatments.
Middleton isn’t the only member of the royal family battling cancer. King Charles announced that he was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024, and as of this writing, he is still undergoing treatment for the illness.
