JD Vance Takes The Gloves Off, Publicly Smites Psaki For Sick Shooting Comments

Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki (who served both former Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama) posted what many Americans feel was an ugly and anti-Christian comment concerning the deadly shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school earlier this week. Vice President JD Vance was so outraged by what was said that he felt compelled to respond to the post and rebuke Psaki for her comments on the incident.

“Prayer is not freaking enough,” Psaki ranted on X, going on to add, “Prayer does not end school shootings. Prayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back. Enough with the thoughts and prayers.”

Psaki’s comment is concerning a truly tragic and devastating incident that occurred on Wednesday when 23-year-old Robert Westman, who was a transgender who identified as female, went to the Annunciation Church and Catholic School where he opened fire on children who were celebrating Mass during their first week of classes.

Two children died as a result of the incident, and 17 others were injured. Westman killed himself soon after the shooting. He published a manifesto online, giving several reasons for carrying out the horrifying action. Westman also had weapons that contained messages such as “Kill Donald Trump” and other anti-Catholic and Christian messages.

As a result, the FBI is now investigating the shooting as a domestic terrorist attack for specifically targeting Catholics. As one would expect in our current political climate, the shooting has inspired heated debate over gun control, mental health, and even the role of prayer following such tragedies.

Vance, in his response to Psaki, wrote, “We pray because our hearts are broken. We pray because we know God listens. We pray because we know that God works in mysterious ways, and can inspire us to further action.”

He then added, “Why do you feel the need to attack other people for praying when kids were just killed praying?”

In a follow-up post, Vance said, “Of all the weird left-wing culture wars in the last few years, this is by far the most bizarre. ‘How dare you pray for innocent people in the midst of tragedy?!’ What are you even talking about?”
