Kate Middleton Stuns Fans With New Change In Her Appearance
After causing quite a stir by switching up her look from brunette to blonde, Princess Kate Middleton has decided to return to her former color, which the world has come to adore. On Sept. 8, the Princess of Wales, 43, made a surprise appearance at the National Federation of Women’s Institutes in Sunningdale to attend the commemoration of Queen Elizabeth’s passing.
The Queen died three years ago.
Middleton stunned those in attendance by wearing her long, flowing locks in loose curls, returning to her famous brunette color with highlights throughout. The change comes after a short but sweet stint as a blonde that began toward the tail end of August and lasted until September.
Princess Kate was first spotted with her blonde look while on a church outing near Balmoral Castle on August 24. She was then seen with the lighter style the following week when she attended an event at London’s Natural History Museum.

“The shakeup shocked royal watchers as the new hue marked Kate’s boldest hair transformation to date, and the length also appeared to be the longest ever. The Princess of Wales has rarely deviated from her signature brunette tresses, often styled in a bouncy blowout, since marrying into the royal family in 2011,” PEOPLE said in a recent report.
However, on September 6, her hair was yet again a darker shade of brown when she attended the Women’s Rugby World Cup match between Australia and England. The British beauty sported an elegant half-updo with curls at the sporting event.

“Over the summer, the Princess of Wales’ hair had been a rich chestnut when she attended events including Trooping the Colour in June and the French state banquet in July,” the report said, going on to add, “Her hair was a glossy chestnut color when she went to the Wimbledon Championships on July 12 and 13, her last public appearances before retreating for summer break.”
Middleton has been the subject of loads of attention over the course of the last several years due to a battle with cancer, which was discovered following abdominal surgery in January 2024. The princess was open about her treatment for the ailment over the following months, providing updates consistently for those who were concerned about her health.
Earlier this year, Princess Kate announced she was officially in remission, going on to describe the healing process as a “roller coaster.”
