JUST IN: Second Body Found In Impounded Car Owned By Famous Singer

More details are emerging about the body of a victim found stuffed in the trunk of a towed vehicle belonging to a popular R&B singer, police announced on Tuesday, including the discovery of a second body.

Authorities are still working to unravel the grisly mystery behind a Tesla belonging to singer D4vd, which was found in a Hollywood tow lot this week. Five days after it arrived, employees said they opened the vehicle’s front trunk to investigate a disturbing odor.

That’s when they found human remains stuffed inside a plastic bag.

Now, investigators believe they have some clues as to the identity of the woman who was a victim of the heinous crime.

Although her “head and torso” were found inside the bag, what remained after five days in the baking Los Angeles sun prevented officers from determining her age or ethnicity. Only recently were they able to ascertain her gender.

A medical examiner located a tattoo on the woman’s right index finger that read “Shhh,” according to the Daily Mail.

What is known is that the woman stood about 5’1″ tall and weighed approximately 71 pounds, officials said. She was wearing a tube top, black leggings, and yellow metal stud earrings with a metal chain bracelet at the time of her death.

On Tuesday, police reported the discovery of a second set of human remains in a Honda Civic at another tow lot about 9 miles away from the Tesla belonging to D4vd. It’s unclear if the two homicides are related to the singer.

For now, police believe the Honda is tied to a separate missing persons report.

D4vd, whose given name is David Anthony Burke, said on Tuesday that he is cooperating with authorities in the investigation. He performed in Minneapolis that night and was spotted handing out Labubu dolls to members of the crowd.

TMZ reported that D4vd told police he was unaware of his vehicle’s location when they contacted him about the body found inside it.

“D4vd has been informed about what’s happened,” a rep for the singer told NBC Los Angeles.

“And although he is still on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.”

Los Angeles saw a spike in carjackings during the pandemic, but the trend has since subsided. Also unclear is whether D4vd loaned his car, which was registered in Texas, to someone else implicated in the killing.

For now, the case is classified as a death investigation, according to Los Angeles Police Officer Charles Miller.

The media fallout for the 20-year-old singer is already affecting him, with brands such as Crocs and Hollister pulling campaigns featuring D4vd.

“We are aware of this developing story. With respect to the current situation, we have removed campaign content featuring D4vd while the investigation continues,” the brands said in a joint statement.
