BREAKING: Shots Fired At Charlie Kirk

Published

on

Shots were fired Wednesday afternoon at a speaking event headlined by conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.

Footage from the scene shows attendees running while at least one shot can be heard. It is currently unclear whether Kirk was injured, though preliminary reports indicate that he was.

An additional angle appears to show that Kirk was indeed shot in the upper body or neck area while speaking at the packed event. He immediately stopped speaking after being hit. The shot appeared to have come from an elevated position, from what sounded like a rifle.

“At TPUSA event. I didn’t see Charlie after. An organizer closer to Charlie’s position said he was shot in the neck,” Andrew Piskadlo, who was in attendance at the event, posted on X. He added that the conversation was centered on the massive rise in violence from the transgender community when the shots rang out.

“Say a prayer for Charlie Kirk, a genuinely good guy and a young father,” Vice President JD Vance announced in an X post.

A video taken by a bystander shows the crowd’s horrified reaction after the suspected rifle shot rang out.

This is a developing story.
