Actress’ ‘Woke’ Emmys Speech Hilariously Backfires
No Hollywood awards ceremony would be complete without a far-left rant about the Trump administration, but one by actress Hannah Einbinder backfired when Hamas took notice of her statement in support of Palestinians.
A news network affiliated with the terrorist group highlighted Einbinder’s expletive-ridden comments toward the end of her speech at the Emmys on Sunday where the “Hacks” actress ripped U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportations and and the Trump administration for supporting Israel’s war.
Einbinder, 30, was featured on the pro-Hamas Quds News Network for declaring “F**k ICE and free Palestine” after receiving her Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
“Hannah Einbinder explains that her decision to say ‘Free Palestine’ during her Emmys acceptance speech came from her belief that, as a Jewish person, she has a responsibility to distinguish Judaism and Jewish culture from the ethnonationalist project of the Israeli state,” the network wrote on X before deleting the post Monday morning.
But screenshots live forever, and critics of the group mocked its decision to censor Einbinder’s bare shoulders as she flaunted her figure on the red carpet Sunday night.
Since 2007, Hamas has imposed strict religious dress requirements on women in Gaza where Israel has fought for nearly two years to eliminate the terrorist network. The United Nations and global human rights organizations have blasted Hamas for its treatment of women.
The group’s “Code of Modesty” code requires women to always wear headscarves and long gowns in public.
Einbinder, who is Jewish, sparked a backlash from pro-Israel groups who accused her of unwittingly normalizing Hamas’ vile treatment of women.
“When celebrities make it trendy to vilify Israel, it fuels the climate that leads to Jewish schools under police guard, synagogues set on fire and children beaten on their way to class,” Israeli writer Hen Mazzig wrote in the Hollywood reporter.
“True bravery would have been using that Emmy stage to call for the release of the 48 hostages still held in Gaza and end of the war,” he added.
Ihab Hassan, a Palestinian Christian who has advocated for peace between Israel and Gaza, slammed the Quds Network for its censorship of Einbinder’s dress.
“Quds News Network is a complete joke,” Hassan wrote on X.

Speaking after her remarks, Einbinder said she felt compelled to “distinguish Jews from the state of Israel.”
“I feel like it is my obligation as a Jewish person to distinguish Jews from the State of Israel, because our religion and our culture is such an important and long standing institution that is really separate to this sort of ethno-nationalist state,” she said, per the NY Post.
