JUST IN: ‘Act Of Terror’ Rocks FBI Field Office
Officials with the Federal Bureau of Investigation reported a terrorism attack at their Pittsburgh field office in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Although no one was hurt, the startling attack is a reminder that terror can strike at any hour of the day or night. In this case, an unhinged man charged the facility’s front gate with his car, smashing it beyond repair.
Remarkably, he is still on the loose as officials seek the public’s help to locate who committed the “act of terror,” according to a spokesman.
Donald Henson, of Penn Hills, Penn., is the prime suspect after he allegedly rammed the FBI building’s gate around 2:40 a.m. with a white Toyota sedan before exiting the vehicle with an American flag in hand and throwing it over the entrance, FBI Special Agent in Charge Christopher Giordano said at a press briefing.
Henson fled on foot, and it’s unclear if he is armed, Giordano said.

“We look at this as an act of terror against the FBI,” Giordano said, per CBS. “This was a targeted attack on this building.”
Authorities said Henson, a military veteran, may be experiencing mental health issues and urged the public to keep their distance.
“Right now, he is wanted in connection with this crime against the FBI,” Giordano added. “It is a federal offense and we will be seeking prosecution to the fullest extent.”
Giordano said Henson is known to the FBI field office, which he visited recently.

“In scouring our indexes, we did find that he visited the field office a couple of weeks ago to make a complaint that didn’t make a whole lot of sense,” Giordano said. “We ran down everything that he came down with. It didn’t have a federal nexus. We contacted him to let him know there wasn’t a federal offense that we were able to charge.”
Images from the gate reviewed by Fox News show the white sedan crunched up against a black gate with its driver’s door ajar. The car’s hazard lights were left flashing.
Nakeisha Brown, a nearby employee who works the night shift, said she heard tires screeching and then a thunderous crash. Brown claimed she saw a man get out of the vehicle before fleeing the scene.
“He got out and went around the passenger side and pulled something out of the passenger side,” Brown told WTAE. “I thought it was a gun, but it happened to be a flag and he just set it on that fence and started yelling out some words and just took off.”
