JUST IN: Soros Foundation Faces RICO Investigation As Donations Linked To Terror Groups Are Revealed
A new investigation into links between left-wing philanthropies and violent terrorists is ensnaring George Soros, the wealthy billionaire who has long been a boogeyman to the right.
According to the Capital Research Center, Soros’s Open Society Foundation, now run by his son Alexander, has directed at least $80 million since 2016 to groups that the federal government has placed on terrorist watch lists. Some of these groups have been linked to extremist violence, making terroristic threats, or partnering with overseas terror networks.
The CRC reported that at least $23 million of that sum went to seven U.S.-based groups that the FBI has flagged for domestic terrorism, such as property destruction, sabotage, and economic disruption.
One, the Center for Third World Organizing, partners with a more militant organization known as the Ruckus Society, which has trained its members in acts of violence and destruction of property since the George Floyd riots of 2020.
Another, the Sunrise Movement, has endorsed an Antifa-led movement known as “Stop Cop City” that has resulted in over 40 activists facing terrorism-related charges and over 60 federal racketeering indictments.
The Soros charity has also provided $18 million to the Movement for Black Lives, which co-authored an opinion piece celebrating Hamas’s October 7, 2023 slaughter of 1,400 Israeli nationals. MDL has provided training to activists on protest tactics, including creating false IDs, staging blockades, and disrupting commerce.
Abroad, the Open Society Foundation sent $2.3 million to Al-Haq, a nongovernmental organization in the West Bank advocating for Palestinians. It has been linked to the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a U.S.- and EU-designated terrorist group.
The PPLP was sanctioned by the U.S. government in September 2025 for being “directly engaged in the ICC’s illegitimate targeting of Israel.” The designation accuses PFLP of funding an organization blacklisted in Washington, D.C.
The CRC report found a total of 54 organizations that it concludes either directly assisted domestic terrorism in the U.S., endorsed or are linked to foreign terrorist organizations, or provided material support to groups aligned with pro-terror causes, Conservative Brief reported.

“This investigation documents how Open Society’s philanthropy blurs into complicity—fueling groups that celebrate violent uprisings, train militants, and endorse terrorist movements,” the report states. “The findings raise urgent questions for Congress, federal investigators, and the IRS about whether Soros’s flagship foundation, and its grantees, can continue to operate with tax-exempt status while bankrolling criminality at home and sanctioned entities abroad.”
President Donald Trump has pledged to use federal resources to investigate Soros, 95.
“We’re going to look into Soros because I think it’s a RICO case against him and other people,” Trump said in a recent Fox News interview.
The Open Society Foundations has rejected such allegations in the past, saying it “does not support or fund violent protests” and calling threats of prosecution “outrageous.”
“The evidence is stark,” the CRC report concludes. “Open Society has financed groups that glorify violence, destabilize societies, and partner with organizations that are openly hostile to the United States and its allies.”
