During the memorial service to slain conservative icon Charlie Kirk, Turning Point USA released a powerful tribute to the organization’s founder that included behind-the-scenes footage from his final event at Utah Valley University.

The tribute, which was narrated by Charlie’s widow and next Turning Point leader, Erika Kirk, touched on the prominent conservative activist’s entire career, from when he first got involved with politics at the age of 18, to the formation of Turning Point Action and its impact on the 2024 presidential election.

It also included touching moments of Charlie, Erika and their two young children.

The end of the video included never before seen footage of Charlie arriving at the Utah Valley University campus for what would end up being the final moments of his life. It was a joyous occasion, with a couple thousand students packed into the campus amphitheater in anticipation of Kirk’s arrival.

“Look at that… beautiful,” Charlie said as he arrived in an SUV. He then posed for pictures with UVU campus activists before making his way to the tent, where he was greeted by a roaring crowd chanting “USA” and “Charlie, Charlie.” Once outside, he began to toss Trump 47 hats to the crowd and mingled with supporters.

The video ended with views of the packed event venue, from the tent’s perspective, as somber music played and a bible verse, 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.”

“He ran the race well. I love you Charlie,” the tribute ended with Erika Kirk’s narration. “On behalf of our family, and everyone you touched with your love, thank you.”

Sunday’s memorial service — which has been attended by more than 200,000 people — was filled with passionate speeches in memory of Kirk and his contributions. Conservative activist Jack Posobiec said Charlie Kirk’s assassination will go down in history as “the turning point” that leads to the “saving of western civilization.”

“Charlie Kirk died for you,” Posobiec said, drawing cheers from the crowd. “Every single one of us will rise up,” he said. “We will never, ever let them forget the name Charlie Kirk. Our civilization will endure. The United States of America will endure. For Charlie, we will continue the mission. For Charlie, we will end the evil disease that split us and took Charlie from us. And for Charlie, Turning Point USA will last forever,” he added.

‘Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.’ It’s true and you feel it here,” said prominent right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson. He noted that it was hard to see Susie Wiles — the stoic White House Chief of Staff who spoke before him — tear up onstage, emphasizing that it is a rare sight.

“The main thing about Charlie and his message, he was bringing the gospel to this country,” Carlson said. “He was doing the thing people hate, which is calling for them to repent. “He knew… the only real solution is Jesus. He had no hate in his heart.”
