Trump Demands Answers After Bombshell J6 Report Contradicts Ex-FBI Director Wray’s Testimony
President Donald Trump is demanding answers and accountability following a bombshell report from The Blaze, which revealed that the FBI had well over 200 plainclothes agents embedded in the crowd.
The FBI had privately admitted to the presence of the plainclothes officers despite a Justice Department Inspector General report denying that they were there, according to a report from Blaze reporter Steve Baker. “We found no evidence in the materials we reviewed or the testimony we received showing or suggesting that the FBI had undercover employees in the various protest crowds, or at the Capitol, on January 6,” the DOJ OIG said in an 88-page report released in December 2024.
The same report revealed that 26 FBI confidential human sources were in the Jan. 6 crowds, four of whom entered the Capitol Building.
“It was just revealed that the FBI had secretly placed, against all Rules, Regulations, Protocols, and Standards, 274 FBI Agents into the Crowd just prior to, and during, the January 6th Hoax,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Saturday.
“This is different from what Director Christopher Wray stated, over and over again!” he went on. “I want to know who each and every one of these so-called ‘Agents’ are, and what they were up to on that now ‘Historic’ Day,” the president went on. “Christopher Wray, the then Director of the FBI, has some major explaining to do. That’s two in a row, Comey and Wray.”

The disclosure appears to contradict testimony from former FBI Director Christopher Wray in 2021 and 2023, when he denied the presence of undercover agents in the crowds.
Former U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund told Tucker Carlson that the FBI, DHS and other federal law enforcement agencies withheld key intelligence relating to the day’s events and confirmed that dozens of undercover agents were embedded within the crowd.
Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), who is charing the GOP’s January 6 House select committee, has long confirmed that undercover D.C. Metropolitan Police officers were mixed in with the crowd as well. A disturbing GoPro video shows undercover officers dressed as Trump supporters while they encouraged others to enter the Capitol Building.
The shocking footage shows a plainclothes MPD officer climbing construction scaffolding while encouraging other protesters to do the same. He also yelled “go, go, go” and “keep moving” as protesters stood on a ledge outside the Capitol pavilion, urging them to move forward towards the building.
