JUST IN: Beloved Reporter Left With Black Eye After Assault In Blue City: ‘Lawlessness’
Post Millennial reporter Katie Daviscourt revealed on Wednesday that she was left with a black eye after a masked “Antifa-affiliated protester” smashed her in the face with a flagpole. Daviscourt appeared on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime,” where viewers got a clear look at the bruise under her right eye.
Daviscourt was covering nightly protests taking place outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building in Portland, Oregon, when she was physically assaulted.
The journalist said she was attacked on Tuesday night by “Antifa-affiliated protesters who harass, assault, and threaten anyone who they perceive to be a threat to their cause, including journalists, local residents, and ICE agents.”
“That’s what it’s been like covering Portland for the past four months. Complete lawlessness,” she said during an interview with host Jesse Watters about covering Portland, which was also the center of the worst Black Lives Matter riots that erupted as a result of the death of George Floyd in 2020.

“This Antifa-affiliated subject just started approaching me and waving a flagpole in my face, and then I kind of turn around and that’s when she swung it like a baseball bat and directly hit my eye,” Daviscourt went on to tell Real America’s Voice host Jack Posobiec.
Daviscourt claims Portland police refused to provide any real assistance during and after the incident.
“I immediately ran to a Portland police officer, hunted down the suspect, chased her through the streets and said, ‘This is my assault suspect, can you guys finally do something?’ and I had eyes on her for about 35 minutes,” she recounted. “Portland police refused to come in and make an arrest and I had three officers just standing there, watching me try to hunt down the suspect.”
The Portland Police Department issued a press release asking the public to help identify the suspect. Of course, they denied that Daviscourt was denied assistance.
Police said that one of its “dialogue liaison officers” trailed the suspect and confronted her.
“The Dialogue Officer attempted to talk to the suspect to hear her side of the story. She would not stop, so the DLO told her she was being detained. She refused the lawful police order to stop and she fled,” Portland Police said.
They then stated that they had met with the victim, Daviscourt, and noted that the case is currently being investigated by the Major Crimes Unit.
“On Saturday, President Trump announced he directed the War Department to send “all necessary troops” to Portland to protect the city and its ICE facilities “from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists,” following months of daily protests,” the New York Post reported.
The state of Oregon promptly filed a lawsuit against the administration to block the deployment of National Guard troops to the city.
