JUST IN: Biden’s Latest Cancer Update Raises Serious Questions

On Monday, former President Joe Biden officially completed a round of radiation treatment for the aggressive form of prostate cancer he is battling. Biden had been receiving treatment for his illness at Penn Medicine Radiation Oncology in Philadelphia over the course of the last several weeks, and the latest update has resurfaced questions about a serious lack of transparency from the Biden White House.

Ashley Biden, the daughter of the former president, posted about the milestone on social media.

“Rung the bell! Thank you to the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff at Penn Medicine. We are so grateful!” she said in a post on Instagram.

Biden spokeswoman Kelly Scully told CBS News, “He rang the bell today.”

“Dad has been so damn brave throughout his treatment. Grateful,” Ashley added in a follow-up post.

Ringing the bell following a completed round of radiation is a time-honored tradition at cancer treatment centers. The gesture serves as a mark of a patient’s progress, as well as encouragement for others undergoing treatment at the same facility.

As of this writing, it is unknown whether Biden will require additional rounds of radiation therapy.

“Biden announced his diagnosis with prostate cancer in May, saying it had already metastasized and spread to his bones. The announcement redoubled concerns that the White House was not being forthright about Biden’s health during his time in office,” Fox News reported.

On September 4, the former president had surgery to remove cancerous skin cells.

During his time in the Oval Office, Biden also had a cancerous skin lesion removed from his chest. Former White House physician Kevin O’Connor pointed out in February 2023 that a biopsy taken of skin tissue that was taken as part of a health assessment revealed cancerous cells, all of which were removed successfully.

Biden’s health was a major focus during much of his term as president, particularly his cognitive abilities. While serving in the Oval Office, the former commander-in-chief displayed signs of dementia that left many in Congress and among the American people concerned that Biden’s health was compromised and thus was unfit to fulfill his duties as president.

After a poor debate performance against then-presidential candidate Donald Trump in the summer of 2024, Biden was ousted as the Democratic Party nominee, replaced by then-Vice President Kamala Harris. Biden was asked to step down from the nomination by many members of his party and even a few celebrities and activists after appearing scattered and unable to concentrate during the debate.

In the weeks leading up to his surrendering the nomination, Biden appeared frail and unhealthy.
