NEW: Mass Shooting Rocks Pennsylvania College
A night of celebration at Lincoln University turned into blood-soaked chaos Saturday when gunfire erupted during the school’s homecoming weekend — leaving one man dead and six others wounded, authorities said.
Police believe multiple shooters opened fire as crowds gathered outside the school’s International Cultural Center following a football game. “It was a chaotic scene and people fled in every direction,” Chester County District Attorney Chris de Barrena-Sarobe said.
The victim was identified as 25-year-old Jujuan Jeffers of Wilmington, Delaware, who died shortly after midnight from a gunshot wound to the head.
The six wounded victims — ages 20 to 25 — are expected to recover. Officials said one is a current Lincoln student, another a graduate, and the rest have no direct ties to the university.
The FBI and local police spent Sunday combing the area with dogs, marking evidence, and collecting shell casings as investigators scoured cellphone videos from partygoers. Authorities urged anyone with footage to share it with the FBI.

One man, Zecqueous Morgan Thompson, was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a license. Investigators haven’t confirmed if his gun was used in the shooting. He’s being held at Chester County Prison on $25,000 cash bail.
Officials said the incident doesn’t appear to have been a planned mass attack — instead, a sudden outbreak of violence amid the homecoming festivities.
“It was a devastating night,” de Barrena-Sarobe said. “We are investigating with the full power of federal, state and local law enforcement.”
Lincoln University — a historically Black college in southeastern Pennsylvania — canceled classes on Monday as the campus reeled from the deadly night.
“What occurred last night was tragic for our students, our families, and our community,” the university said in a statement. “Gun violence happens far too often in our country, and we are heartbroken that Lincoln University and its students are among the latest victims of such senseless violence.”
