BREAKING: NFL Star Dies Just Days After Touchdown On Monday Night Football

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland — who just days ago scored his first NFL touchdown — died early Thursday, the team announced. He was 24.

The cause of death has not yet been released. The Cowboys confirmed the stunning news in a statement shared through the NFL Network, saying the former second-round pick “tragically passed away.”

“It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning. Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family,” the team said.

Kneeland’s sudden death comes on the heels of his breakout moment during Monday night’s win, when he celebrated his first career touchdown after recovering a blocked punt — a milestone that now serves as his final memory on the field.

The promising young lineman, drafted out of Western Michigan, had quickly earned a reputation as a high-motor defender and locker room favorite. His loss leaves a deep void in the Cowboys organization and across the NFL.
