JUST IN: Melania Trump Offers Unprecedented Access In New Movie
Melania Trump has unveiled the first trailer for a new feature-length film that offers rare access to her private life as she prepared for her husband’s return to the White House.
The 104-minute movie, titled Melania, is set for a worldwide theatrical release on Jan. 30 and chronicles the intense 20 days leading up to President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Amazon secured the project for a reported $40 million after outbidding Disney, Netflix and Paramount in what industry insiders have described as the largest documentary deal ever.
The trailer opens with a striking moment as the first lady prepares to enter the Capitol rotunda in her now-famous inauguration look.
“Here we go again,” Melania says with a knowing smile beneath her wide-brimmed black hat.
The footage shows Melania moving seamlessly between private jets, high-level meetings in Mar-a-Lago and Manhattan, and formal White House events. She is also seen wearing her white-and-black inaugural ball gown inside the East Wing.
Cameras capture quieter moments with her son Barron and her father, while also highlighting the constant security presence surrounding the first family. The pace quickens as motorcades with blaring sirens cut through New York City streets.
“Is it safe?” Melania asks her security detail during one tense scene.
Another moment shows her stepping into her husband’s speech rehearsal.
“My proudest legacy will be that of peacemaker,” Trump says, before Melania interjects: “Peacemaker and unifier.”
The trailer also includes a phone call from the Trump Tower penthouse in Manhattan.
“Hi, Mr President,” Melania says. “Congratulations.”
Trump responds enthusiastically: “Did you watch it?”
“I did not,” she replies. “Yeah, I will see it on the news.”

The project took shape immediately after Trump’s election victory, with negotiations beginning Nov. 18. Melania was closely involved in all aspects of production and pushed for what she described as an elevated cinematic approach rather than a traditional documentary.
“The 20 days of my life, preceding the US Presidential inauguration, constitute a rare and defining moment—one that warrants meticulous care, integrity, and uncompromising craftsmanship,” she said.
“I am proud to share this very specific moment of my life—20 days of intense transition and planning—with moviegoers and fans across the globe.”
Marc Beckman, Melania’s agent and adviser, led negotiations with Amazon CEO Andy Jassy.
“I’m honored to be working with Amazon,” Beckman said. “They’ve been great partners from the minute we started to negotiate the deal, through production and now as we gear up for the film’s release.”
The film follows the release of Melania’s memoir of the same name, which has topped the New York Times bestseller list since publication.
The trailer closes with the first lady explaining her motivation for opening the door to cameras during a second term.
“Everyone wants to know,” she says. “So here it is.”
