Royal Family Faces Firestorm Over Stunning Email In New Epstein Document Drop

An email sent to convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell from an address linked to “Balmoral” and signed “A xxx” asks whether she had “found me some new inappropriate friends” to have “fun” with, according to newly released Epstein files made public Friday.

The disclosures shed fresh light on the inner circle of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and include emails between Maxwell and a figure identified only as “The Invisible Man,” using the address [email protected]. The cache also contains images connected to Epstein’s social orbit, including a photograph of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, lying across several women. The context of the image is not explained in the records.

In an August 2001 email, the man signing off as “A xxx” tells Maxwell he is at “Balmoral Summer Camp for the Royal Family,” says he is “totally exhausted,” and claims “The Girls” are “completely shattered.” He asks Maxwell, “How’s LA? Have you found me some new inappropriate friends?” and adds that he is free from Aug. 25 until Sept. 2 and wants to go somewhere “hot and sunny with some fun people.”

He closes the message: “Any ideas gratefully received! See ya A xxx.”

Maxwell replies a few days later: “So sorry to disappoint you, however the truth must be told. I have only been able to find appropriate friends.” She signs off, “Kisses Gx.”

The exchange continues. On Aug. 18, the man responds, “Distraught!” adding that he had lost his valet that week. “He had been with me since I was 2,” the message reads. In a longer follow-up, he writes that his life is “in turmoil” and asks Maxwell for advice on how to get his “mind back on track,” signing again, “See you real soon… A xxx.”

In March 2002, Ghislaine Maxwell forwarded another message to “The Invisible Man,” telling an acquaintance: “I just gave Andrew your telephone no.” She writes that he is interested in seeing the Nazca Lines in Peru and adds, “Some sight seeing some 2 legged sight seeing (read intelligent pretty fun and from good families) and he will be very happy.” She says she trusts the recipient to introduce him only to people who are “friendly and discreet and fun.”

The recipient replies, “Got it will ring him today if I can. Love you A xxx.”

The newly released material comes as the U.S. Department of Justice formally requested that Prince Andrew be compelled to answer questions about his relationship with Epstein and convicted sex offender Peter Nygard. A “Request for Assistance” included in the document dump states there was “evidence that Prince Andrew engaged in sexual conduct involving one of Epstein’s victims.” Andrew has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

The Epstein files were released by the Department of Justice in four datasets following passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which mandated public disclosure. The release includes emails, court transcripts, FBI and DOJ records, photographs, and surveillance material, though many pages remain heavily redacted.

The DOJ has faced criticism from both parties over delays and redactions. Victims’ representatives said only a fraction of the material has been released and complained of extensive blackouts with little explanation.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said delays were driven by the need to protect the identities of Epstein’s more than 1,000 victims. The release represents only part of what federal authorities say they possess related to Epstein, whose 2019 death in a New York jail while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges continues to fuel public scrutiny and demands for accountability.
