Top Trump Officials Hint At Major Revelations After FBI Raid Linked To 2020 Election

Former D.C. U.S. Attorney Ed Martin, who currently serves as the head of the Justice Department’s weaponization of government working group, made a cryptic post with former Trump attorney Sidney Powell after a Georgia election office was raided by federal investigators on Thursday.

On Wednesday, the FBI executed a search at the Fulton County Elections Hub and Operations Center in Union City, Georgia. Agents removed approximately 700 boxes of materials, including physical ballots from the 2020 general election, ballot images, tabulator tapes, digital data, voter rolls, and other documents.

A search warrant, which was signed by U.S. Magistrate Judge Catherine M. Salinas, cited potential violations of federal election laws, with a focus on actions taken after October 12, 2020.

Martin, who also works as the DOJ’s pardon attorney, has directed actions related to the review of 2020 election records in Fulton County, including requests for access to sealed ballots and coordination leading to a federal search of election facilities.

On August 25, 2025, he penned a letter to Judge Robert C.I. McBurney requesting access to sealed absentee ballots from the 2020 election. “I am requesting your permission to immediately access the approximately 148,000 absentee ballots and envelopes currently being held at the Fulton County ballot warehouse,” Martin wrote, adding that “a review of the ballots and envelopes is imperative.”

This request preceded a DOJ lawsuit requesting the records filed this past December, which had been kept under seal.

Following the raid, Martin posted a cryptic photo captioned, “Good morning, America. How are ya?” alongside former Trump election attorney Sidney Powell.

Powell, a former federal prosecutor, worked on President Donald Trump’s legal team following the controversial 2020 election. As one of the most public faces of the president’s challenges to the election — which was defined by a massive surge in no-excuse mail-in voting and unsupervised drop boxes — Powell repeatedly alleged fraud in Fulton County.

Wednesday’s raid was part of a criminal investigation into potential violations of federal election laws related to the 2020 presidential election, including possible fraud, interference, or improper handling of records.
