Legendary NFL Quarterback Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen Officially Bring Marriage To An End

For the first time in his NFL career, legendary quarterback Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell below .500 Thursday night. And it seems his week is not going to be getting any better as his marriage is now coming to an end.

Brady posted a message on Instagram Friday morning confirming that his divorce from Gisele Bundchen had been finalized. Seeing someone’s marriage crumble like this is truly a tragic sight. Marriage is a holy union created by God to bring together a man and wife together as one flesh in order to establish a family. Families are the backbone of society. Whether we all realize it or not, when a marriage ends, we’re all a bit weaker because of it.

“In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage,” Brady said in his message, according to Fox News. “We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way.”

“We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve,” he continued.

Tabloid site TMZ first reported the two were working with a mediator to help settle the issue of custody of the children and their properties. A source then spoke with PEOPLE Magazine revealing the couple had decided on joint custody of their kids.

“The settlement is all worked out,” a source said in a statement to the PEOPLE. “They’ve been working on the terms this whole time.”

“They agreed to joint custody of the kids,” the source added.

Fox News said, “Brady’s marriage has been in the news since the beginning of his 23rd season, after the seven-time Super Bowl champion retired and then unretired in the span of 40 days during the offseason. Many analysts and fans alike have accused Brady of not being “all-in” ever since the season started, having taken 11-days off during training camp and then missing a Saturday walk-through before the Bucs game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, after he attended Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft’s wedding in New York the night before.

“I said last week that there’s no immediate retirement in my future,” Brady went on to say this week on the “Let’s Go!” podcast. “There was a retirement in the past, but I moved on from that. I told them in March I was playing, and I’ve never quit on anything in my life.”
