WATCH: Pam Bondi Explodes On Jamie Raskin, Calls Him ‘Washed Up’
Attorney General Pam Bondi tore into House Democrats during a fiery exchange on Capitol Hill, unloading on Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin and New York Rep. Jerry Nadler in a moment that quickly went viral online.
Bondi, appearing before lawmakers for a heated hearing, pushed back forcefully when Democrats pressed her on former President Donald Trump and the Justice Department’s handling of high-profile investigations.
At one point, Bondi turned the tables on members who supported Trump’s impeachment during the Russia probe.
“Have you APOLOGIZED to President Trump, ALL OF YOU, who participated in the [Russia Hoax] impeachment hearings?” Bondi demanded.
The attorney general did not mince words as interruptions continued.
The confrontation escalated when Democrats attempted to pivot to Jeffrey Epstein-related matters. Bondi accused them of political grandstanding and reminded the panel that the case predates Trump’s return to office.
“You talk about Epstein today, this has been around since the OBAMA ADMIN! WE released 3 MILLION documents, and Donald Trump signed that law.”
Bondi’s remarks appeared aimed squarely at Raskin, a frequent Trump critic, and Nadler, who chaired the House Judiciary Committee during the first impeachment proceedings. While Bondi did not back down, Democrats continued pressing their line of questioning.
The exchange underscored the lingering tensions surrounding the Russia investigation, which Trump and his allies have long characterized as a hoax. Bondi’s reference to document releases pointed to previous disclosures tied to Epstein and related investigations, a subject that has resurfaced repeatedly in congressional hearings.
Republicans in the room largely stayed silent as Bondi sparred with her Democratic counterparts, though several later praised her performance on social media.
Clips of the back-and-forth quickly circulated online, with supporters describing it as a long-overdue rebuke of lawmakers they accuse of weaponizing investigations against President Donald Trump.
Democrats, meanwhile, defended their oversight role and dismissed Bondi’s comments as political theater.
The clash marked one of the most combative moments of the hearing and signaled that partisan battles over impeachment, Epstein files and the legacy of the Russia probe remain far from settled.
