JUST IN: FBI Seeking Man Seen On New Video Miles Away From Nancy Guthrie’s Home
Investigators have identified a new person of interest in the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, who was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona home nearly two weeks ago.
The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department are seeking to question an individual captured on surveillance video carrying a backpack, located just miles from Guthrie’s home in Tucson, Arizona, on the night she vanished. Nancy Guthrie was last seen on the night of January 31, when she was dropped off at her home after having dinner with relatives.
Investigators previously released doorbell camera footage of a masked individual — who was wearing a backpack and appeared to be armed with a handgun — that was obtained from Guthrie’s home. The video became the first and only image of the suspect released after the FBI managed to access residual data from the camera, which was disabled by the suspected abductor.
The individual in question has not been identified as of this report, though their eyes were visible in the brief clip.

FBI Director Kash Patel stated that the images depict “an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance.”
On Thursday, February 12, investigators announced that they were seeking a new individual for questioning in relation to the Guthrie case. The latest development follows the emergence of surveillance footage showing a man with a backpack in an area located a few miles away from Guthrie’s home on the night of January 31.
The footage depicts an individual in dark clothing approaching a parked vehicle near trash bins in a driveway at night. The person appears to interact with the car, possibly reaching inside or near it.
Authorities have not released the exact location or time stamp but confirmed it aligns with the timeline of Guthrie’s disappearance. A source familiar with the investigation told Fox News that the FBI and sheriff are seeking the individual for questioning.

The new lead comes after a white tent was seen going up outside Nancy Guthrie’s home on Thursday afternoon. Local and federal law enforcement teams have been scouring the neighborhood for the last several days, with a particular emphasis placed on brush areas and sheds around properties.
Investigators on Wednesday recovered a black glove that may be related to the Guthrie abduction. That piece of evidence is currently undergoing forensic testing for new leads.
The FBI on Thursday evening announced that the reward for any information leading to Guthrie’s return, or an arrest in the case, to $100,000.
