NEW: Savannah Guthrie To Return To NYC, ‘Today’ Show As Case Goes Cold

Savannah Guthrie is preparing to return to New York City after nearly a month in Arizona, even as the search for her abducted mother drags on with no clear answers.

Sources told the Daily Mail that the “Today” show co-host plans to head back home this weekend, confronting the painful reality that finding 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie could take years.

Nancy was taken from her bed in the early hours of Feb. 1 at her longtime home in Tucson’s upscale Catalina Foothills. Since then, Savannah, 54, and her family have remained in Arizona, clinging to hope while enduring what she described as relentless agony.

“It is day 24 since our mom was taken in the dark of night from her bed,” Savannah said in a tearful social media video this week.

“And every hour and minute and second and every long night has been agony since then. Worrying for her, fearing for her, aching for her.”

She added: “We still believe. We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home.

“Hope against hope, as my sister says, we are blowing on the embers of hope.”

But she also acknowledged the unthinkable.

“We also know that she may be lost, she may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the lord that she loves.

“But we need to know where she is. We need her to come home. For that reason, we are offering a family reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery.

“Somebody knows and we are begging you to please come forward now.”

Savannah pleaded: “Tell us what you know and help us bring our beloved mom home so that we can either celebrate a glorious, miraculous homecoming or celebrate the beautiful, brave and courageous and noble life that she lived.”

The reward comes as frustration mounts over the investigation, now a joint effort between the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI. Law enforcement sources have criticized Sheriff Chris Nanos for tightly controlling the probe and limiting public updates. Nanos has pushed back on speculation, including claims that surveillance images of a masked suspect may have been taken on different days, calling that theory “purely speculative.”

Video released by the FBI shows a masked, armed individual at Nancy’s doorstep shortly before investigators believe she was abducted. Sources told ABC News and CNN that one image appears to show the suspect without a backpack, raising questions about possible prior surveillance. Authorities say there are no visible timestamps on the images.

Savannah’s husband, Michael Feldman, and their two young children remain in New York. NBC has reportedly left the door open for her return to Studio 1A.

“She can’t stay in Arizona forever,” one source told the Daily Mail. “Her kids and her life are in New York City.”
