Israeli Military Provides Timeline On Expected Military Operations Against Iran
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) provided an update on the ongoing military operations against Iran in which they stated that more than 5,000 bombs and missiles have been dropped to date. They also provided a timetable of how long the nation expects to be engaged at this point in time.
According to a report from The Times Of Israel citing senior Israeli military sources, the operations are set to continue for at least one to two more weeks, with thousands more targets identified for strikes aimed at degrading the Iranian regime’s military infrastructure and dismantling its ballistic missile capabilities. This campaign, described as a joint effort with the United States, marks what Israeli officials have called the first full-scale joint war between the two nations.
The IDF indicated that fighter jets “continue to deepen air superiority throughout Iran, with an emphasis on the Tehran area.”
“In the past two days, we have killed thousands of Iranian forces,” said Colonel Aleph, the commander of the Ramat David Air Base, who was identified only by his first initial in Hebrew.
Aleph said he took part in a wave of strikes on a large Iranian military compound in eastern Tehran.
“Seconds before I dropped the bombs, I looked right and left, and saw dozens of fighter jets beside me. They’re flying freely, dropping hundreds of tons of precise munitions and destroying the targets,” he said.
On Wednesday, over 100 Israeli fighter jets participated in strikes targeting a compound in Tehran known to house personnel with Iran’s security apparatus. More than 250 bombs have been dropped on the complex in at least 11 separate waves since the conflict erupted.
“The headquarters were struck while personnel of the Iranian terror regime responsible for managing the campaign, advancing terror plans against the state of Israel and countries in the region, and suppressing Iranian civilians were operating from them,” the Israeli military said.
Additional operations included the destruction of an armed Iranian ballistic missile launcher in the Kermanshah area by an Israeli F-35I jet, airstrikes on dozens of ballistic missile launchers and air defense systems in central and western Iran, and the elimination of air defense systems at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport, Newsmax reported.

Military officials described the campaign as the first full-scale joint war between Israel and the United States.
“There are joint coordination cells” in both countries working to synchronize intelligence, targeting, and defense operations, the military said. More than 1,000 American troops are currently stationed in Israel,” one unnamed military official said. “This is a war in English.”
Since the conflict erupted on February 28, U.S. and Israeli strikes have eliminated much of the Iranian regime’s senior leadership, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has stated that nearly 2,000 targets have been hit inside Iran, including ballistic missiles and other threats.
Estimates from CENTCOM and the IDF indicate that Iran’s ballistic missile capability has been degraded by upwards of 60 percent, while more than 80 percent of the nation’s air defenses have also been wiped out.
In response, Tehran has launched over 500 ballistic missiles and more than 2,000 drones, targeting Israel, U.S. bases in the Gulf, and allied Arab states such as the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. These attacks have struck oil facilities, travel hubs, and military sites, leaving six American soldiers dead and several others wounded.
A number of civilians have also been killed in the targeted countries.
