More Than 100 Israeli Citizens Wounded In Latest Iranian Missile Strikes
More than 100 Israeli citizens were injured in what officials classified as mass casualty events after multiple Iranian missile strikes on Saturday.
Iranian ballistic missiles struck the southern Israeli cities of Arad and Dimona, injuring upwards of 100 civilians and causing extensive damage to the impact sites. Despite the extensive damage and casualty figures, Israeli officials have not confirmed any fatalities as of this report.
The attacks occurred hours after a U.S.-Israeli strike on Iran’s Natanz nuclear enrichment facility, which Iran described as the trigger for its retaliatory barrage. Air defense systems intercepted some incoming missiles but failed to prevent direct hits in both locations
In Arad, emergency responders reported between 64 and 88 people wounded, with 10 in serious condition, according to Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical service. Among those seriously injured was a five-year-old girl.
Anywhere between 39 and 60 people were also injured in the Dimona strike, some of whom remain in serious condition. Aggregated figures from Israeli media placed the combined total at approximately 115 wounded across both cities.
Damage was concentrated in residential areas. In Arad, a direct missile impact struck the city center between apartment buildings, causing extensive destruction. Four buildings sustained heavy damage, with some partial collapses observed.
In Dimona, a ballistic missile with a warhead weighing hundreds of kilograms hit a building directly. The city is home to the Shimon Peres Negev Nuclear Research Center, which is believed to have been the intended target of the Iranian strike.

A separate Iranian cluster missile damaged a kindergarten in the central city of Rishon Lezion earlier that day, though no injuries were reported there. Schools across Israel canceled in-person learning following the attacks.
Several additional people were injured as a result of rockets launched by Hezbollah towards Northern Israel earlier in the day.
“I spoke with the Mayor of Arad, Yair Maayan, and asked him to convey, on behalf of all Israeli citizens, our prayers for the peace of the injured,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said following the strikes. “We are determined to continue to strike our enemies on all fronts.”
The strikes occurred ahead of a 48-hour deadline set by President Donald Trump for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. If the president’s demands are not met, he vowed to target Iranian energy infrastructure, while Iran responded by vowing retaliatory strikes on oil facilities in the Gulf States, as well as desalination plants in Israel.
