IRONY ALERT: Biden Considers TRUMP Border Policies As Illegals Continue To Pour Across Border

There is an old “Moneyball’ inspired saying, “if it works, why isn’t it working”? While this can be applied to much of what the Biden administration has touched, it particularly applies to immigration, more specifically, our sieve known as the southern border. While record numbers of illegals flow in on a daily basis, bringing drugs, child trafficking, and in many cases, criminal records with them, the Biden Administration has spent two years blindly insisting that the border is secure. The administration has changed the definition of several words to fit their narrative, so perhaps they changed the definition of secure as well, as the border is anything but.

Under former President Trump, who famously ran on a platform of border security, our southern border, while still flawed, was as secure as it has been in our nation’s history. More border wall was being constructed, more border agents were being hired, and some of the immense pressure felt by American border towns was being relieved. Now under Joe Biden, the wall sits unfinished with construction materials lying in wait, the border agents have been excoriated and villainized (the fake whipping incident), and not only border towns but many of our larger blue cities are overrun with illegal immigrants. So, what is Biden to do now that Title 42 is set to expire and a mass surge is expected?  Maybe revisit what actually worked?

From the Daily Caller:

The Biden administration is seriously considering whether to mirror Trump-era policies to better secure the border ahead of an expected illegal migrant surge when Title 42, a public health expulsion order, ends on Dec. 21, Axios reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The potential plan includes barring more illegal migrants from entry while pushing for increased use of legal pathways and pressuring other countries to increase asylum offers and enhance border security.

Does all of this sound vaguely familiar? It should, as this is straight from President Trump’s border playbook. Trump and his administration were tough on illegal immigration. While many bleeding-heart libs on the left claimed human rights abuses, among other things, those same bleeding hearts are now the ones complaining that their cities are overrun by illegals. Funny how that works, isn’t it? With the expiration of the Covid protection known as Title 42, an unprecedented surge is expected right around Christmas. Ho Ho No!

The Daily Caller adds:

The border is expected to see more chaos on top of continued records of illegal migrant encounters when Title 42, which has resulted in the expulsion of over 2 million illegal migrants who crossed the southern border, ends, multiple Border Patrol agents previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

It is set to become a real “s” show at our southern border. With not nearly enough agents and an unprecedented flood coming, what can Biden finally do? Unsurprisingly, Biden’s possible plan looks a lot like Donald Trump’s.

The tools the Biden administration is weighing to deport and prosecute more illegal migrants resemble some of the Trump administration’s strategies to secure the border, according to Axios.

Single adult illegal migrants will be quickly removed if they hadn’t previously applied for entry through legal pathways in the U.S. or in the countries they passed through, with some exceptions, according to Axios. The Biden administration wants to increase criminal prosecutions of illegal border crossings for single adults, especially those who evaded arrest by federal border authorities, according to Axios.

These actions should have never been stripped away, just as the wall should have been finished, and the expansion of the border patrol should have continued. Instead, the Biden Administration, and border czar Kamala Harris who comically two years in STILL hasn’t visited the border, just sat on their hands and blindly proclaimed that everything was peachy. Things aren’t so peachy, and the problem is about to become much worse just in time for Christmas. The only question is, has Biden and his cast of clowns waited too long? Time will tell, but my guess is yes.
