BREAKING: Trump Evaded Iranian Assassination Plot With Split-Second Maneuver
President Donald Trump was secretly moved off Air Force One and onto a smaller military jet last month after U.S. officials received what they believed was a credible Iranian threat against his life, according to a bombshell new report.
The extraordinary deception operation unfolded July 8 as Trump prepared to leave Turkey following a NATO summit and renewed U.S. military strikes against Iran.
Trump initially boarded the familiar blue-and-white Air Force One in full view of television cameras at Ankara Esenboga Airport.
But minutes later, the president and several aides were reportedly moved out of sight through an airport catering truck and transferred to a nearby Air Force C-32A, a modified Boeing 757 commonly used to transport senior government officials.
The legacy Air Force One then departed carrying journalists and some White House staff who reportedly believed Trump was still aboard.
In reality, the president was flying separately under a low-profile military call sign as part of an elaborate security operation designed to conceal his location.
A U.S. official familiar with the mission described the larger aircraft as a “decoy.”
The maneuver came after intelligence officials identified a credible threat involving Iran, according to the report.
Trump had spent the previous day meeting NATO leaders in Ankara. The operation took place just one night after U.S. forces renewed strikes against Iran at his direction following the collapse of negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

The president’s real location remained hidden from much of the public and even some senior officials for hours.
White House communications director Steven Cheung defended the security measures surrounding presidential travel.
“The new Air Force One is a state-of-the-art aircraft that has been fitted with high-level security protocols that ensure the safety of the President and his staff,” Cheung’s statement said. “As the President has said recently, there are many enemies of America who have their sights on him, and we use every tool at our disposal to address those threats.”
The threat reportedly involved concerns that Iran or its proxies could target Trump or his aircraft while he was leaving Turkey.
Those fears have intensified following years of Iranian threats against American officials, particularly after the United States killed senior Iranian military leaders and later became directly involved in the current conflict.
Turkey shares a border with Iran, adding another layer of concern for U.S. security officials.
The operation began after Trump publicly announced that he would leave Turkey aboard the “former Air Force One” rather than the newer Boeing 747-8 that had been gifted to the United States by Qatar.

That newer aircraft had recently undergone hundreds of millions of dollars in upgrades but reportedly lacked some of the defensive countermeasures found on the older presidential jets.
Trump boarded the legacy Air Force One at dusk and waved toward cameras on the tarmac.
According to the report, he then left the aircraft through a door on the opposite side using a catering truck typically used to load food and supplies.
The truck’s container was raised hydraulically to the plane’s door, allowing Trump and several aides to enter without being seen by reporters or others outside the operation.
The vehicle then drove toward the nearby C-32A.
Media footage reportedly showed the catering truck positioned beside the smaller military plane for several minutes before lowering again.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth separately boarded the C-32A using exterior stairs in what was reportedly designed to make the flight appear routine.
Trump and Hegseth then flew to Britain aboard the smaller aircraft.
Meanwhile, White House reporters boarding the decoy Air Force One were instructed to close their window shades.
The C-32A reportedly operated under the nondescript call sign “Reach 18” or “RCH18,” rather than the traditional Air Force One designation.
Tracking systems that normally allow the aircraft to be easily followed were also reportedly disabled.
The former Qatari aircraft flew separately to Britain’s RAF Mildenhall under the call sign “SAM 33,” while the legacy Air Force One carrying staff and journalists later began using “AF1” despite Trump not being aboard.
The three aircraft ultimately arrived in Britain within hours of one another.

Trump later appeared before television cameras descending from the legacy Air Force One, though it remains unclear exactly how he was transferred back onto that plane after landing.
He then boarded the newer presidential jet for the flight back to Washington.
During that flight, Donald Trump spoke with reporters about the continuing threat posed by Iran but did not reveal the elaborate deception operation that had just been carried out.
Asked why journalists had been ordered to lower their window shades in Turkey, Trump gave a characteristically blunt answer.
“because you’re probably on a dangerous flight because of the sleaze bags that we have to deal with.”

Trump said that he has a “threat all the time” against his life and that he is “number one” on Iran’s “list.”
He then delivered a dark joke to the reporters traveling with him.
“But if I go, you go. Right?” Trump suggested to reporters. “Perhaps someday you want to change professions.”
Former acting Secret Service Director Ronald L. Rowe Jr. said keeping the methods used to protect a president hidden is critical.
“We need to keep the ‘secret’ in Secret Service,” said Rowe, now with the Chertoff Group, a security advisory firm. “The public should know what the president is doing on a daily basis, but when it comes to the methods by which the Secret Service keeps the president safe, that should remain out of public view.”
The White House and Pentagon have not publicly detailed the full scope of the threat or how close officials believed Iran came to acting on it.
What is now clear is that security officials considered the danger serious enough to turn one Air Force One into a decoy, hide the president inside a catering truck and secretly fly him out of Turkey aboard a military jet while much of the world believed he was somewhere else.
