JUST IN: Trump Breaks Silence On Maria Bartiromo’s Reported Firing, Rips Fox News
President Donald Trump broke his silence Thursday night after Fox News Media abruptly parted ways with longtime anchor Maria Bartiromo, praising the veteran broadcaster and warning that her loyal audience would not be happy about the decision.
Trump reacted on Truth Social just hours after Fox announced that Bartiromo’s more than 12-year run at the network had come to an end.
“I can’t believe Maria Bartiromo is no longer going to have her great show(s) on FoxNews/Business,” the president wrote on Truth Social. “Three different shows, always number one. Maria is a total professional, and a true warrior.”
“Her fans, of which there are many, will not be happy. God bless you, Maria,” he added.
Bartiromo had become one of the most recognizable faces on Fox Business and Fox News, hosting “Mornings with Maria,” “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” and the Sunday program “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Fox News Media announced Thursday that Bartiromo was no longer with the company, effective immediately, but offered little explanation for the sudden split.
“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 1/2 years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” the network said.
The final episode of “Mornings with Maria” aired Thursday morning. Beginning Friday, Fox Business said the program would be renamed “Mornings with Fox Business” and use rotating anchors.
“Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” was also canceled in its existing form. Fox Business said Cheryl Casone would host the reworked program initially, with rotating anchors expected afterward.
Fox News said former Rep. Jason Chaffetz would temporarily take over “Sunday Morning Futures” while the network searches for a permanent replacement.

Bartiromo joined Fox Business in 2014 following a two-decade career at CNBC, where she became one of the country’s best-known financial journalists.
Her profile grew considerably during Trump’s political rise, with Bartiromo frequently interviewing Donald Trump and prominent members of his administration and political orbit.
Her coverage following the 2020 presidential election also drew legal scrutiny.
Bartiromo was named alongside Fox and other network personalities in Smartmatic’s defamation lawsuit over claims aired about the company’s voting technology.
Bartiromo and Fox sought to dismiss that case, arguing the “headline-seeking, multi-billion-dollar lawsuit thus should be seen—and rejected—for what it is: an unconstitutional attempt by a money-losing company … to try to refill its coffers at the expense of our constitutional traditions.”
She was also deposed in Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation case against Fox after hosting guests who challenged the results of the 2020 election. Fox ultimately settled the Dominion case in 2023.
Trump, meanwhile, made clear Thursday that he viewed Bartiromo’s departure as a major loss for the network, highlighting her ratings, professionalism and years of high-profile political and financial coverage.
