JUST IN: Talarico Takes New Hit As Shocking Anti-Christian Posts Emerge
Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico is facing fresh controversy after a series of inflammatory social media posts attributed to his adoptive father resurfaced, including crude remarks about Christianity and insulting comments targeting Republican women.
The posts came from an X account belonging to Mark Talarico, whom the Democratic candidate has repeatedly praised as a role model and an important influence on his life, according to the Washington Examiner.
James Talarico has publicly identified the account as belonging to his adoptive father and has interacted with it over the years.
In February 2020, the Democrat responded to a post praising his work in the Texas Legislature with an affectionate acknowledgment of his father’s influence.
“You taught me well, Pops!” Talarico wrote.
Two years later, he corrected another social media user who mistakenly identified Mark as his biological father, describing his adoptive dad as the “greatest man I’ve ever known.”
But several posts attributed to Mark have now drawn scrutiny because of their treatment of Christian beliefs and prominent conservative women.
One particularly disturbing exchange occurred in September 2023, when an X user made a crude remark about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Rather presumptuous of you, considering that we only know you as an alcoholic and abuser.

The user wondered if “Christ had died via a pole up the a** I wonder if he’d have been as revered.”
The Mark Talarico account responded with a joke about Christian jewelry.
“definitely make for some interesting James Avery jewelry.”
Another post from February 2023 targeted an Ash Wednesday image shared by Fox News.
The image featured two individuals displaying ash crosses on their foreheads, a traditional Christian observance marking the beginning of Lent.

In response, the account posted a video featuring a man with the word “twat” written across his forehead.
The controversial remarks extended beyond religious imagery.
In August 2024, the account responded to a video featuring a woman describing how her Christian faith helped her overcome childhood trauma and leave a same-sex relationship.
“He grabbed my heart and I knew that his love could set me free and that’s exactly what happened,” the woman said.

The Mark Talarico account responded with a pointed criticism of her religious beliefs.

The posts stand in sharp contrast to the religious messaging James Talarico has made central to his political identity.

The Democratic Senate hopeful is a Christian seminarian who frequently discusses his faith and has spoken publicly about his aspirations to become a preacher.
Other resurfaced posts took aim at conservative women, including former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and former Greek ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle.
In January 2024, the account responded to a photograph featuring Lake and three other women by saying the group “is like the afternoon shift at a strip club.”
Another post compared Guilfoyle to Ursula, the villain from Disney’s animated film “The Little Mermaid.”

The revelations have attracted attention because James Talarico has repeatedly credited his adoptive father with teaching him about character, kindness and personal responsibility.
During a March 14 campaign event in Austin, Talarico praised Mark for helping raise him and serving as an example of responsible fatherhood.
“Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad,” Talarico said.
The Democrat recalled watching his father mow an elderly neighbor’s lawn every Saturday, describing the gesture as a lesson in what “being a man is all about.”
“It’s taking care of the people around you,” Talarico said. “It’s doing what’s right even when no one is watching. The internet tells these young men that being a man means tearing other people down. It means trolling and owning and dominating. So that’s not what my dad taught me.”
Those remarks are now drawing renewed attention alongside the social media posts attributed to his father.
Although the controversial statements were not written by James Talarico, the apparent contrast between the account’s comments and the candidate’s public descriptions of his father’s character has become a point of scrutiny.
