‘WHITE KAMALA’: Ohio Gov. Candidate Accused Of Being ‘Hammered’ During Train Wreck Speech

Amy Acton, the Democratic Party nominee for governor of Ohio, once again slurred her words and drew comparisons to former Vice President Kamala Harris following a recent campaign speech.

At the event, which featured a podium sign reading “FIGHTING FOR TOLEDO” and an Ohio Democratic Party backdrop, Acton referenced the stage lettering. “Truth and justice, I just wrote on the word… words back here. That is… I am honored to be here.” Her delivery was characterized as slow and halting, including a mid-sentence correction from “word” to “words.”

Separate clips from the same night showed Acton mixing transportation terms while contrasting her own travel with that of her opponent, Vivek Ramaswamy. “Not in a big Jeep flying over like Ohio’s a fly—I mean in a big jet. He’s flying in a Jeep,” she said.

Conservative commentators and users amplified the clips. Florida’s Voice contributor Eric Daugherty posted that “Amy Acton is HAMMERED” and that she was “slurring like she’s drunk out of her mind,” a message that accumulated more than a million views. Conservative commentator Jack Posobiec described the footage as “Kamala Happy Hour vibes.”

Loomer Unleashed shared the Jeep/jet segment and asked, “Um, is Amy drunk again,” while network contributor Charles Downs called the delivery slurred and stated that Acton was “unfit to be Ohio’s Governor.” One reply labeled her “the white Kamala.”

Similar online commentary followed Acton’s remarks at a Labor Day weekend event in September, where she repeatedly declared variations of “You cannot buy this state. You cannot buy Ohio. You can’t buy us.” Clips from that appearance also prompted questions about her speech.

Acton’s campaign has previously rejected claims of alcohol or substance issues tied to a 2019 police response at her home, stating she had one drink and took regularly prescribed medication, and that she was not intoxicated.
