NEW: Son Of ‘Decoy’ Dan Sullivan Revealed As Registered Dem Who Works For Dem Congresswoman

The son of Daniel J. Sullivan — a retired teacher from Alaska who is at the center of an investigation into deceptive election practices in the state’s high-stakes U.S. Senate race — is a registered Democrat who serves as a field representative for a Democratic Party congresswoman in Washington.

The elder Sullivan, a retired teacher from the remote Alaska community of Petersburg, has the same first and last name as incumbent Senator Dan Sullivan, a Republican. Both state and federal officials are investigating the race following a bombshell report from the New York Times, which laid out allegations of coordination with Democratic Party nominee Mary Peltola’s campaign in order to deliberately confuse voters.

Both Sullivan and Peltola have denied the allegations, though state and federal law enforcement agencies have launched sprawling investigations.

According to a report from The Post Millennial, “Decoy” Dan Sullivan’s son, Noah Casey Sullivan, is a registered Democrat who serves as a field representative for U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, a Democrat representing Washington’s 3rd Congressional District. Congressional salary records list him in that role during 2025 and 2026.

The Anchorage Daily News reported, citing a statement from the Republican National Committee, Noah Sullivan has previously worked on campaigns for Democratic candidates in Alaska and elsewhere. In an interview referenced in that reporting, Daniel J. Sullivan confirmed that his son works as a field operative for Gluesenkamp Perez and meets with constituents on her behalf.

He stated that he raised his son “to be an independent young man” and that “we all have different views.” Gluesenkamp Perez previously served as a co-chair of the Blue Dog Coalition in the 118th Congress alongside Peltola.

POLL: Will You Support Trump And His Candidates In The Midterms?

The increased scrutiny comes on the heels of a bombshell report from the New York Times, which described an effort by operatives aligned with Peltola’s campaign, along with staff from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, to identify and recruit additional candidates, including another person named Dan Sullivan, as part of what sources called a “ballot composition project.” The paper, citing interviews with a dozen people, text messages, and documents, reported that a staffer was instructed in summer 2025 to search Alaska voter records for individuals named Dan Sullivan.

Democratic operative Jerid Kurtz, who specialized in such tactics and used a false name during some outreach, reportedly identified and approached the Petersburg teacher.

In addition, former Peltola campaign manager Elisa Rios told the Times that Daniel J. Sullivan indicated he “hated Trump” and was willing to run “if it was going to help Mary,” adding that Peltola was “definitely aware” of the broader effort though not directly involved in day-to-day recruitment.

Days before the Times report, Daniel J. Sullivan left Petersburg. Multiple sources told CBS News that a former student saw him board a flight to Anchorage on Monday, October 26, just two days prior to the New York Times report. His subsequent whereabouts are unclear as of this report.
