Clinton Adviser Says Classified Doc Scandal Will End Biden; “Anyone That Breathes” Can Beat Him In 2024
A former advisor to President Bill Clinton, Dick Morris, claimed during a Sunday interview that President Joe Biden’s chances of getting reelected in 2024, something that the major players in both parties are considering as the presidential election machines begin to get into gear, have plummetted thanks to the documents scandal.
That comment came when Dick Morris, whose credibility on the matter was somewhat buoyed by his time as an advisor to President Bill Clinton, appeared for an interview with John Catsimatidis on Catsimatidis’ radio show, “The Cats Roundtable.” Speaking on the matter, Morris said “That’s going to be the absolute end for Biden.”
Specifically, Morris said that the effect the still-unfolding documents scandal has had on Biden’s polling numbers are substantial, as shown by Biden not getting a quarter of the primary vote despite being the president, saying:
“When Biden as president can’t get more than 25% of the primary vote in his own party, that’s near death. He’s so incredibly vulnerable/ You’d think he’d be at 40% or 50% at the least. That means pretty much anybody that breathes on him can knock him over.”
Continuing by distinguishing the Biden documents scandal from the Trump situation, Morris went on to say that the information in the classified documents could cause serious problems for Biden, particularly if the information in them turns out to tie him even closer to Hunter Biden’s influence peddling or related activities. In Morris’ words:
“It’s different. Trump took them like mementos, like an ashtray. A letter from Kim Jong-un that he could show people … [Biden’s situation] is directly linked to a big bribery scandal involving the vice president and his son. That’s a whole other situation.”
And his summary of his assessment? To put it simply, “It will knock Biden out of the race.”
The Daily Wire, adding context to the comment Morris made about Biden’s situation as opposed to Trump’s, noted that Hunter might have even had access to the classified documents, saying:
Morris pointed out the fact that the documents — which have thus far been found at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., as well as Biden’s home and garage in Wilmington, Delaware — were located in places where the president’s embattled son Hunter may have had access to them.
Several reports have indicated that Hunter Biden listed the Wilmington home as his place of residence in 2017 following his divorce — at which time he was still serving as a board member of Burisma and his father had already left the White House
The White House has, despite even Attorney General Merrick Garland appointing a Special Counsel to look into the scandal, tried to downplay the extent of the problem and nature of it, with White House lawyer Richard Sauber saying:
“We are confident that a thorough review will show that these documents were inadvertently misplaced, and the President and his lawyers acted promptly upon discovery of this mistake.”
