Nikki Haley Takes a Jab at Don Lemon Following His CNN Firing: ‘Still in my Prime’
On Monday, Nikki Haley, the former Governor of South Carolina and Republican presidential candidate, took to Twitter to comment on Don Lemon’s recent firing from CNN. Haley used this opportunity to respond to Lemon’s previous controversial comments about her and to raise funds for her 2024 campaign.
“A great day for women everywhere,” Haley tweeted. “Now, let’s get men out of women’s sports. #StillInMyPrime”

The comment from Lemon, which occurred in February, happened during a news segment about Haley’s upcoming presidential bid. While discussing her candidacy, Lemon took it upon himself to define when a woman is in her “prime.”
“Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime, sorry. A woman is considered in her prime in her 20’s, 30’s, and maybe 40’s,” Lemon said on the show, leaving his co-hosts looking confused and taken aback.
To women everywhere, don’t ever let anyone tell you you're past your prime.

Haley’s tweet following Lemon’s dismissal indicates that she has not forgotten his comments and is using the opportunity to fire back at him. In addition to the tweet, Haley is also using the incident to raise money for her 2024 presidential campaign.
