Oversight Chair Expresses Concern over Biden Investigation: ‘Other Family Members were Involved’

In a recent interview with Fox News, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer spoke out about the ongoing investigation into the Biden family’s foreign business deals. Comer expressed his concern about the potential involvement of other family members beyond Hunter Biden and the impact it could have on the American people.

Comer stated, “from what I’ve seen with the massive number of LLCs that were created, and it appears to me that the sole purpose of these LLCs was to hide the source of the revenue coming to the Biden family and then to distract the IRS from the fact that they should be paying taxes on this.”

He went on to suggest that the whistleblower involved in the investigation could reveal further information about the Biden family’s tax schemes and potentially implicate other family members. “I think that what the whistleblower might have to say is the fact that not only was the president’s son involved in some tax schemes, but it appears that many other members of the family were involved as well,” Comer said.

Comer emphasized that the investigation into the Biden family’s foreign business deals was not just about politics, but rather about public corruption. He stated, “The American people should care about public corruption. That’s what I’m investigating.”

Last week a senior IRS whistleblower alleged political interference and preferential treatment by federal prosecutors appointed by President Joe Biden to protect his son, Hunter Biden, from criminal tax charges. The whistleblower made legally protected disclosures internally at the IRS, through counsel to the U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, and to the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General.

The anonymous agent hopes to share the information with congressional committees in a non-partisan manner and requested to meet with the committees to provide detailed testimony.

The investigation, led by Comer and other House Republicans, aims to shed light on the Biden family’s business dealings with foreign entities and potential conflicts of interest. The investigation comes amid a wave of concerns about the lack of transparency and accountability in government and the potential impact on American democracy.

Despite skepticism about the efficacy of such investigations in the past, Comer expressed confidence that this time would be different. He cited the growing number of whistleblowers and new evidence coming to light as proof that there was more to uncover about the Biden family’s dealings.

As the investigation into the Biden family’s foreign business deals continues, the American people wait to see what further revelations will come to light.
