BREAKING: Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Introduces Resolution To Remove Adam Schiff From Congress
U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) introduced a resolution to expel U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) from Congress. The move comes just days after White House special counsel John Durham concluded that the Trump-Russia probe should have never been opened. As chair of the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff repeatedly claimed that the panel had seen an “abundance” of evidence of “collusion” between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.
“Knowingly using your position on House Intel to push a lie that ripped apart our country, cost taxpayers millions of dollars, and authorized spying on a US President and then proceeding to double down on the lie within days of the Durham report coming out makes you unfit for office,” wrote the Florida congresswoman in a tweet Wednesday. “Ethics should investigate.”

The move comes after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy hinted at Schiff’s expulsion while speaking to reporters on Tuesday. “It raises the question about Adam Schiff,” McCarthy said when asked about the Durham report on Tuesday. “Remember when Adam told the American public he had proof? Remember when he said he didn’t know the whistleblower?”
Schiff repeatedly stated that he had seen evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government as the Mueller investigation was ongoing and beyond. “I don’t want to go into specifics, but I will say that there is evidence that is not circumstantial. But as I’ve said all along, there’s plenty of evidence of collusion,” he told Meet The Press in 2017.
The California congressman — who is eyeing a run at Senator Diane Feinstein’s seat when she retires after 2024 — dismissed the Durham report as a “flawed” investigation in an interview with MSNBC earlier this week. “This is an investigation that started in a flawed manner, it was conducted in a flawed manner, and its conclusion is a flawed conclusion,” Schiff said.
Despite exonerations for the Trump campaign in both the Mueller and Durham reports, Schiff has maintained that there was evidence of “collusion” and “obstruction” on the part of the Trump campaign.
