Joe Rogan Completely Dismantles CNN, Mainstream Media In Scathing Podcast

Popular podcast host Joe Rogan recently took aim at CNN, critiquing their portrayal of significant figures in the media, like Tucker Carlson, and emphasizing the importance of platforms like Twitter in offering these figures more freedom of expression.

In a recent episode featuring guest Dave Smith, Rogan delved into the discrepancy between how networks like CNN present figures such as Carlson and the actual popularity and influence these figures wield. Rogan pointed out, “Just look what they did to Tucker Carlson who was the number one guy on television… They removed him because he was a problem.”

Rogan’s primary argument revolved around the idea that mainstream media outlets, such as CNN, seem to be painting a picture out of touch with the reality of the public’s sentiment.

Smith chimed in, saying, “If you listen to CNN… they talk about you [Rogan] or the way they talk about Tucker Carlson… it’s like you’re these very controversial figures… but then you’re like, no, he’s the number one guy in cable news and you’re the number one guy in podcasting.”

The conversation further touched upon Carlson’s evident deviation from the standard Republican narrative, a point of contention which, according to Rogan, made him stand out on Fox News. “One of the things I really appreciated about Tucker was that he would break with the Republican Party… He had a completely different view from them,” Rogan noted.

The dialogue culminated with Rogan emphasizing the liberating nature of platforms like Twitter, which have become a haven for figures like Carlson to express themselves without institutional constraints. “The beautiful thing is now he’s going forward on Twitter… Even though he was going for it on FOX, you can see the freedom he has on Twitter… It’s important, it really is.”

“People need to wake the f–k up,” Rogan finished.

Rogan has praised Tucker in the past. Just a few weeks ago, he speculated that if former President Donald Trump were to win the 2024 election and serve another four years, Carlson could potentially run for the presidency in 2028 and win.

Rogan’s reasoning stemmed from Carlson’s widespread popularity and his ability to resonate with a broad audience. “He’s got a very popular voice,” Rogan stated. “If he decided to run for president… he could win.” Rogan has described Carlson as a “no-nonsense guy” who has a knack for “exposing bullsh*t” in a “humorous, insightful, and biting way.”

CNN’s ratings have continued to tank as of late. Meanwhile, Carlson’s latest show, titled “Debate Night with Donald J Trump,” garnered a staggering 212.3 million views. To put this into perspective, when Fox News broke the debate ratings record back in 2015, largely attributed to Trump’s participation, the event peaked at 24 million viewers.
